Kinda random but is it like 100% certain that Lee Joon Hyuk is going to be playing a single father in this? Because I don't think I've seen a single preview of him with his kid so far or even seen anything about the kid that is going to play his child in this (casting wise)
Reportedly preparing to be scheduled and broadcast for summer 2025. In the article it says that the consensus is that the scheduling can no longer be delayed due to issues with OTT and penalty fees. Also says, they decided that they cannot delay it any longer due to the medical strike that may or may not end, so they are planning to schedule it next year. These are just reports but no official confirmation on it's airing date as a broadcasting official said, "'Resident Playbook' is considering scheduling for next summer" while a tvN official said "It has not been decided. We will make an official announcement as soon as it is confirmed."
I wouldn't say it's necessarily cancelled until either the production company or even one of the actors themselves confirms it. But it is kinda looking like a pretty high possibility that production will be cancelled or super delayed even more so with Jae Hyun enlisting in the military last month and not returning until Mid 2026. Since they didn't finish filming, I imagine that they didn't finish all his scenes so they would have to wait for his enlistment to be over which seems super unlikely, swap him for someone else, or just cut him out of the story after a certain point which just kills the drama pretty much.
Not sure, in the article that says he was reviewing the offer a few weeks ago it says that he is a candidate for the lead role. If he does end up confirming, he was offered the role of college student Jeon Hyeon who is the eldest son of the top conglomerate in the industry, Hwasin Electronics, and a fraudulent character who even entered a prestigious law school in Seoul as the top student.
Sounds like Good Partner may be getting a season 2. Filming reportedly to begin in second half of 2025. From article taking about 2025 lineup for DB Financial Investment: "In the second half of the year, filming for Season 2 of Good Partner, which was a box office hit in 2024, will begin, which will be reflected in the performance"
Was reported that they are aiming for 2026 to begin filming after going through the pre-production process. If it follows the same or a similar filming schedule as the first season where it took 11 months to film between August 23rd, 2021 to July 11th, 2022, filming could be done throughout and finish in 2026 (if they start early the year) or maybe go into 2027 through the second quarter to mid-year if they start in the middle of the year/second half of 2026. My guess is that this is maybe a very late second half 2027 or early 2028 release? Mostly depending on when they start filming in 2026, which hopefully won't be late in the year, and if they decide to do 20 episodes again like season 1.

Not really sure what happened to this drama. Was reported that the goal was to broadcast in the second half of year (2024) and also showed for a December release on WelCon but there has been no casting news at all outside of Lee Joon that was back in May. Even with on April 3rd of this year production saying they were in final stages of casting with filming also to begin in May.
Super strange that there has been complete radio silence since Lee Joon's casting. My only guess is tht TV Chosun decided to push it back for a while after DNA Lover's hit some super tough ratings with only 1 episode surpassing 1%? So that it doesn't air on the same date as other big production/highly anticipated dramas. Either that or production hit a snag
