The novel had a time jump so that can be included in the last episode. Ep 5 would be Sun trying to process that she likes Ongsa (who is not a guy). 6 would be them trying to get to know each other more. 7 I think is perfect episode for them to start dating but still keeping it a secret. 8, Ton approaching Ongsa again thus making Sun jealous. 9 would be summer camp/Ongsa being palanquin girl. 10, making their relationship known to everyone and Ongsa's mother finding out about the relationship (her mother is homophobic in the novel). 11 break up and make up.

Nah, ep 9 or 10 for them to start dating is too far. I hope they follow the pacing of the novel because it was like 1/3 through it when Sun finds out Earth is Ongsa and they start dating soon after.

I might be remembering it wrong but in the novel, they were the same age and dated briefly during grade 9, I think

I agree with everything you have said. I think others are just trying to nitpick over the littlest things, like they need to calm down, it's the first ep. They'd gradually introduce the other characters in the coming episodes.

It isn't explicitly mentioned that they're lesbian or bisexual. Ongsa's attraction to Sun started off as a simple crush kinda like idolizing someone and then when they talked more and more did Ongsa realize she has feelings for her. Not sure if we're getting the part wherein Sun finds out Earth is Ongsa in the series but in the novel, Sun didn't mind at all that Ongsa is a girl.
