This drama is amazing!! It gives me so much warm and fuzzy feelings of love and friendship...i'm so glad this drama touches many types of personalities, and even dark themes.

I've seen both Empress Ki and King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang. As much as I love Empress Ki, I loved King's Daughter better because there was just so much character growth. Nyang in Empress Ki started off as the perfect heroine imo. She was always so cunning and calculating; she didn't really grow much. I still love Empress Ki a ton, but I'm the type of person who loves seeing characters grow and change. In King's Daughter, Seol Nan grows from this carefree innocent woman to a fierce, intelligent, and calculating woman.

If you watch the latest episode, she remembers everything clearly. She's just putting on an act to exact her revenge and to start her life over.

is the female lead smart?

Her character is really boring...imo. The only truly shining moment was when she stood up to the king and revealed her true identity...but besides that..she's pretty plain.

I really like the 2 male leads because they act really well...but is it me, or is Lee Yeon Hee's acting really lacking? I don't feel very much for her character, and kind of wish her emotions were more real, instead of fake. I really liked the child version of her character...

the female lead in this is definitely not this hopeless girl. She's resilient, strong, and of course she does break down after everything's all the happened. Her character is really promising, and it seems to me that she will become a woman that should be feared in later episodes.

Is the main girl a mary sue, or is she actually badass?

It's pretty good so far! The girl is pretty crafty/resourceful but I hope she matures and kicks ass later in the drama..

Seo Woo acts incredibly well in her role as Seol Hi. You should continue and give it a try! Of course the first 10 or so episodes is kind of boring as it's the background story of the parents...

I completely didn't recognize her from Empress Ki! Her acting is completely different...so unlike the evil Empress of Empress Ki.

I'm planning on watching this...but I've read reviews and they said the girl inspector is annoying. Does she form bonds with the group as well? Or as she just an annoying character?

Prior to watching Healer, I didn't like Park Min Young very much and hadn't seen Ji Chang Wook in other dramas. I have to say, though, after watching 6 episodes straight, that I have fallen in love with the drama. Park Min Young has grown from a childish actress into a much more mature, realistic actress who can portray her character well. Ji Chang Wook's acting was impressive. I love the drama so far but I wish the writers would stick more the plot rather than the romance.

Yup I totally agree with you too! I have nothing against Ok Ryeon because she's likable and strong(personality-wise). However, I look forward to scenes with Gaya because she plans everything and she's a more complex character.
