i didnt mind the draggy plot, i think it helped with the drama and romance build up! im just rather D: that they put some scenes in the trailer and BTS but didnt fully put them in the drama itself, that was a bit of a let down!
despite the plot holes this was cute! and fun and easy watch! and it was great to see zhao li ying and zhang han together again, i've literally just finished boss and me! nice to see them in different roles and now onto Eternal wave! :')
One of the best dramas i have watched, beautiful love story! Actors were great especially Mark Chao, Yang Mi is…
Think Heavenly father who is mo yuan's father was like the very first guy from a gazillion years ago and the heavenly lord is the guy of the same status but a gazillion years later? :) so Heavenly Father was actually his dad but in the time line with Bai Qian it was his great great great x 100000 ish grandad?
I'm experiencing a major withdrawal right now that I keep thinking of the drama and how they could have done it…
I don't think Ye Hua 'snatched' little seventeenth as such because they both technically had a 'connection' way before the even met each other as humans, when Ye Hua was a golden lotus, little seventeenth was already drawn to him and cared for him as a flower and Ye Hua appeared and was beside her the entire time at the beginning. I'm glad that they kept them seperate, I mean it was a little shocking and confusing to begin with but the love that Bai Qian had for Mo Yuan was purely family love and respect, she wasnt in love with him the feelings they portrayed i felt were different. :)
i found loop holes which i didnt understand , which i put in a discussion post, if those were fixed i would be a lot happier but all in all this is the first ever mainland china drama, of that length and genre. so i found it amazing, and since then i have been in the wuxia/historial/fantasy rut for the past like 4 months watching things only of that genre! :)
review is on point! i'm in the murky waters of the drama end after life, i've watched all the bts and i miss this drama so much! I was so positive it was going to be a 10 of a drama but the ending...was just so infuriating! now im kinda like what kind of rating should i give it?! :( i feel like if the cast doesnt come back for a season 2 can we have the cast be in a completely different drama just so i can fulfill my otp shipping!
the first 20 odd episodes were AMAZING and for that i wouldve given it a definite 10 but then the rest... was just so disappointing! this drama had SO much potential to be an amazing one from beginning to end but the middle to the end was just eurgh.
in the episode where yuwen yue comes to save xing er from the city wall that she was trying to guard (the one yuan chun came to kill her), and he took her and put her on the ground outside for yuan xun to find. wouldnt it be awesome if she knew it was yuwen yue just from his smell? that'd put all that smell training to good use wouldnt it?
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. THAT CANNOT BE HOW IT ENDS!! i feel like they diverged from chu qiao's storyline a bit too much, there were tiny side character stories which i feel were unecessary... i wanted more yuwen yue and chu qiao's story and depth! i wanted her own storyline back about the slaves and her powers... what the frick! there best be a season 2 with them in all in it!!
this original version had so many great ratings.. but it's not doing much for me... i loved the korean version althought i felt it could have gone more indepth.. and i disliked the ending in it! was convinced the original one is better in terms of explaining things but im struggling to see that atm! im on ep 16 ..does it get better? im tired of her relationship with the second lead!
i find it a bit weird that the 2 timelines joined but im glad it did cos I feel like she fell in love with the 2nd time line yuan ling more so than the one in the OG timeline?

happy dramaland-ing! :)
