As a continuation from ep 38 where old Wanwu told LS abt how to eliminate the evil soul and the trio in bone melting pool made plan after retrieving clear vine, for me ep 39 fits the ending better and it's kinda the same ending as novel. LS already lost LL, now it's his turn to lose her and wait for her. To make her lost LL then LG in ep 40 is just too cruel (but HN is alive!). Idk they shud just make ep 40 abt LG finally meet her again after she reincarnates, since golden bird is always following him anyway. So it's not sad ending at all.
But 2 endings to make everyone happy! Time to say goodbye ♥︎
If it's 4 then perhaps it's - God of Moon(Good, when he didn't go dark yet), we saw some of this in flashbacks…
