I really dont get the logic of the king letting her die. Or her reasons for revenge. I guess it will get cleared…

the king had no choice to but to let her die. if he tried to save her they all would have died. of course the ml doesn’t know this. and the king also is forcing a personality for the sake of being king and being betrayed by his brother.
