You can't expect big names to accept anything less than first billing. And there are many young actors that are super talented. All the rumoured names are talented.
As for the director Du Ling, I understand that many people are worried, but why are we acting as if he's the main director? Wang Yixu clearly said that many directors are going to work together and Du Ling will take part in that.

Lu Wuyi is an amazing character. This is Ju Jingyi's best character up to date... And I don't think she's only centered around others. Her love for Wu Wangyan and Ji Ling is really admirable. I love characters like her🥲.

I love the angst along with the push and pull with Lu Wuyi and wannabe Chi Wen. I'm not mad at him about what he did... He has a reason. We all know that he's totally in love with her.
I just want to say that not everyone is comfortable with doing Couple Promotion. Especially things such as hugging, carrying eachother, and other playful stuff. I totally loved the interactions we got from Ju Jingyi and Tian Jiarui. Every person has different boundaries, and that should be respected by the fans. I don't know about Tian Jiarui, since this is the first romance drama I watch him in, but Ju Jingyi never did stuff such as CP promotion. She's an introvert, and wants her personal space. They're coworkers/friends and that's enough. I'm happy with what we got😁.
