I love the actress portraying Yang mother. Her acting in episode 15 is phenomenal. I actually cried for her thinking the worse. Overall, that scene was so emotional, just seeing all the love action of every member of the family. How they try to protect one another. It was so beautiful
Okay so Gmmtv just release their 2023 series trailers and I watched their live. So Bright project was announced last and so many comment ask for Bightwin to pair up. Honestly, I knew they wouldn’t have a series together just because I think it’s a smarter choice for them to focus on their solo series as Brightwin still remain iconic. They don’t even really need to show much public interaction and their fans would eat it up. I do hope that in the future they would have another series together.
Anyway, I really was not expecting much when I saw Bright serie. I like the thriller concept and how he is branching out and playing more difficult character but I honestly thought he would pair with Tu (FL from F4). Did not expect Yaya and man….. I fricking screamed into my pillow. He is gonna costar with THE top actress in Thailand and I’m living for it. The visual alone is killing me!!!!!
But GMMTV BLs are the purest among all Thai BL LOLHardly ever they have a more intense kissing scene
From what I remember, Tonhon went to some reunion party and his ex gf pressure him into kissing her to prove he is a “real man”. He did it even though he was dating Chonalatee.
But GMMTV BLs are the purest among all Thai BL LOLHardly ever they have a more intense kissing scene
I’m also very curious, the only gmmtv bl series that have cheating is tonhon chonlatee. Besides that, I don’t know any other bl series produce by gmmtv that have cheating.
So l haven’t watch lakorn in a long time, especially period drama but why is the production and prop so out of place? First thing I notice is that the cast clothes are way too modern. Pin clothes look Korean to me, Tian is basically wearing a business suit and the most noticeable is Yang, his clothes is so western/modern it’s hard to believe this lakorn was set in the 1930s.
The prop is even worse. I’m on episode 3 but wow, I’m starting to think they are using ketchup for the blood scene but the worse is definitely when they decided to use green glitter as poison to kill Tong, it’s hard to to take the action scene seriously when his face have spots of glitter on it. Some other notice are the jewellery (which I can pass bc they suppose to be fake anyway), and the toy beetle 🪲.
I grew up watching lakorn and grew out of it and only discover bl only the past two years. I did not think much of both my former interest and current interest combining would be like, but so far, I’m really enjoying it.
P.s to anyone who wants to start this, there is going to be over the top storyline’s and the pacing is gonna be slow, especially for the main character. It will be over dramatic in almost every scene, especially the arguing and fighting scenes. Sometime, the lakorn is so dramatic that they lose focus of the main story. If u do not enjoy this sort of themes I have listed out, then you have been warn. I will say to give it a chance and just enjoy it at your own pace.
I just started watching this and it’s just sooo good. I love Bua so much. I have heard the love have no gender speech many time but it was even more touching after the sweet Chinese folktale that was told right before.
Also, I didn’t know this lakorn is a tribute to Tangmo :(
Earth is such a great actor. He really nailed this role. I mean he cried so much tears, you can feel the emotion through the screens. I hope more people become his fan and continue to support him.
Okay, so the last two eps felt unnecessary and I understand that they were trying to show that the character will stood by each other through hard times but honestly, they know each other since birth and us, the audience already know that Cake and Eiw would do anything for one another so I think the mum death and dad return was not necessary. I fell in love with SantaEarth chemistry and would love to see more cute moments rather than more sad scenes.
Beside that, the series was amazing and I love that the serie began when they were young and until they become adult. It’s like we grown with them in each episode. It’s so beautiful!!!
I feel conflicted, I like the first story although the acting wasn’t great. I do not like the second story, although I prefer the acting. We are halfway through the second story and I hate all the characters. I know Thames character is keep to himself type of guy but without any specific backstory regarding his mother, I feel he is basically torturing her by pretending to date her nemesis. Neung have every right to want revenge so far but she does it in such a childish way that makes her even more unlikeable in my opinion.
Age is such a controversial topic in the BL community but it is quite common for any actors worldwide actually.
In Hollywood, Mila Kunis was 14 and had her first kiss on live tv in That 70’s Show and Kirstin Dunst was only 11 when she had to kiss an adult Brad Pitt (who was in his 30s at that time) for Interview with the Vampire.
In this instance, I know the actor playing the role is young but they took the role knowing what was installed for them, which is having to perform kiss scene which could be a crucial part for the storyline. I think this topic is making a big deal out of nothing. They are ACTORS in a ROMANCE genre which might include some type of SKINSHIP.
P.s. I know my example are pretty out there but I’m just so tired of hearing about the age gap between bl actors when all they are doing is literally PLAYING A ROLE.
If there is a show where a 13 year old actor have to perform an NC scene with a 40 year old person, then please go for them but if u planning to boycott the show because of a kiss scene between a 17/18 years old and a 27 year old actor then i honestly don’t want to hear about it.
Man, so many criticism for this BL but I would always be thankful that it was the first BL I ever seen and brought me into this wonderful world.
I actually still like this BL after watching so many others. I still rate it a 10/10 just because it was my first but realistically, this would be a 7 or 8. A lot of bl tropes and some parts are not realistic but I will always deny it when other say that the leads have zero chemistry and it is the “straightest bl”.
I mean even without any love scene (and honestly, u don’t need PDA or NC scene in any series for it to be good imo) they exerted a lot of chemistry that made many audience hook, including myself. To have that amount of chemistry and cuteness overload and still be judge so harshly by others is beyond me tbh.
This was 10/10. No one can convince me otherwise. The story was so beautiful and the acting was amazing. I followed First and Khaotung from the beginning til now and I knew that they were going to deliver an amazing performance. I honestly cannot find any faults. This is one of the rare moments where I can say this is by far the best bl out there.
P.s. I love that all the character played a significant role in the story. It was always one of my pet peeves where they cast actors and they play minor character with little to significant value to the story but I love that everyone in here was able to shine. The production team and director did an amazing job.
.5 off because I dislike beach trip trope. It’s very cliche
