The really isn't a answer because nanpaisanshu"author" is like the #1 creator of unsolvable plot holes. the whole plotline of the lost tomb series is filled with plotholes that never get solved. The Zhang clan is one of the most kept in secret things in the series. If you read the novels...maybe you'll understand a bit more but, if you want to watch a drama that explains more, i rec the ultimate note and sea of sand(sha hai) the lost tomb explains a bit about zhang and wang secrets. Ultimte note fills some of the plot holes in the main story line(not as much about zhang tho only a bit)
