I am glad they didn't alter the future for the sake of an extremely happy ending because that would have been extremely unrealistic. I loved the show. It made me cry a little. I am glad my love Chung Ah received a happy ending for herself because life had really been unfair to her. I wouldn't consider this the male lead's fault. Humans tend to act irrational sometimesz especially, when they are enlightened with an undesirable pov in the future.
