i don't read novels and i sure as hell don't read novels about a drama i'm watching or about to watch cuz i deeply hate spoilers. but this drama is so influential i didn't even realize how far i went reading the translations, anyways i had to stop myself cuz i hate spoilers. last time i was this influenced to read the original webtoon or novel of a drama was during perfect marriage revenge. i really have a thing for the marriage trope, i didn't even realize this.

there was no "cold case" regarding the disappearance of the real bride. if you watched ep 2 to the end youd know that the real bride called the wedding off the night before. ML chatted with her about it and decided to marry her sister. and you're right FL is less worried about her safety and i like it that way. it'd save this drama from being hopelessly melancholic. what we need is tension and meaningless tears and emotional breakdowns.

i'm commenting on your first paragraph- literally half of the problems in life could've been avoided if we did the opposite of our actions at that time. idg why people keep saying this, it's more or less the the same for dramas. sometimes it get frustrating but, that's literally what builds the plot

the way i lowkey love the filthy-rich theme in dramas needs to be studied, like the luxury itself its a standalone plot. no matter how bad the plot is overral i've always somehow completed dramas like this. i guess watching rich people live in luxury is another odd form of comfort😭

i'm up to date now, and it was nice of mu rim to give out 150m, but i don’t think i can call that character development. it merely reflects the darker side of human nature. when all the dust settled and they didn’t have to do anything, they were satisfied—but i bet if there’s another crisis, they’d all behave like they did before. so, i wouldn’t even call it character development for mu rim, cha rim, or their aunt. i still hate how nonchalant mu rim is; it’s so cringe and disgusting. he’s not even the attractive kind of nonchalant—he’s just a jerk forcing himself to emote.

i don't mind actually, as long as they put on a good show i'll be satisfied
