I did not realise Kim Mi Kyung was in this. Is she Korea's national mother?
I thought Kim Haesook was, atl that's what I've heard them call her. But Kim Mi Kyung has been praised for her "good" mother roles in literally every drama.
A few episodes in..So far imo (without spoilers):- FL is the best part of this.- The cgi is awful but mostly hidden…
"cgi is awful" gurllll are you kidding me???!!! you'd prolly prefer the monster coming out of your screen atp
Buh I also thought about the Korean casting in stead of Japanese, I always do cuz most kdramas do not use Japanese actors e.g. Song of Bandits. Buy they nailed the language (to my understanding) so i don't see why that should be a problem.
And yes the romance is cringe & unnecessary. When they insert the comedy sometimes its disturbing.
it has quite a slow pazed plot. it gets around ep 2/3 . for me i didn't find it boring because i was intrigued…
I surprisingly did not feel the slow pace, I thought th pace was perfect cuz I was well informed. it didn't confuse me I was sooo intrigued by the cinematography and the actions of the characters, I learnt alot too
The Monster/Apocalypse genre is way better when set in 1900s but hey (to any disguised kdrama wri/pro/dir) DO NOT take me literally, it's better historical yeah but 173836× better when it's not hard to come by, makes those type of dramas retain their value & get more recognition- Meaning, my idea rocks but pls don't overuse it🗿
"Humans in particular desire to become apex predators"...tf u mean😭 all I want in life is to live in a cute aesthetic cartoon with rainbow for sun & gumdrops for rain🤏🏼😭?!
This drama was perfect a 10, but that unnecessary romance🤦🏽♀️ anyways I was able to see beyond that cuz clearly it's way more than that....the story is so unique, refreshing heartbreaking with a few comic reliefs here & there. I just wish they made that "romance" lowkey like they fell for each other almost everything, which is cute but since day 1 they've been giving us highkey hints like it's a romance drama. No that's not how it should be! Netflix likes doing this they should learn from Uncanny Counter s1. subtle Chemistry is the best for an action thriller drama, especially one with heavy topics like this.
Every time they did that cliché over dramatic thing like in romance dramas, I cringed so hard. And when ML visions pointed to FL being his flipside I was like "huh"...dude you're life changed the moment you were asked to find Akiko.
idc, FL can get drunk as many times as possible. I mean if we're gonna relate it to real life then we have lots of drunks & stoners...so why get big mad for a Fictional drama. Yall also watch dramas where Smoking has its on plot- every min🚬🚬 Atleast getting drunk is more realistic than having an accident every single day & being a regular patient.
No cuz I 100000% got the message they conveyed with a broken heart! My goodness reality hit me sosososo hard. I really hope this drama helps people who are having suicidal thoughts. This is a deep topic & people tend to brush it off cuz they don't want to sound insensitive but really SUCIDE IS NEVER THE ANSWER. Just think abt the suffering you'd cause your loved ones & most importantly yourself! No matter how hard life is hell is hell <\3
I haven't watched ep 10 yet but atp it's not giving. And now I'm thinking 1 ep every week works cuz at the rate this drama is going (which is boring) I would've dropped it a long time ago if there were 2 eps each week- I can't be consecutively bored plus it was paired with Moon in the day another show I tried so hard to manage ugh.
