I’m only on episode 8 so far and I was wondering what part of the drama had strong s*icide themes as netflix tagged it? A bit anxious cos so far the episodes have just been all rainbows.. I’m open to spoilers too ><

i just finished rewatching this just now yet i wanna watch it again already :( this drama still truly hits you no matter how many times you watch it. i can never get over the five friends and their families, i feel like i can rewatch this drama at least once a year just to relive all their moments.. definitely my favourite drama of all time and this is not to say lightly for me, it’s just no matter how many more dramas i watch and whatever they may be nothing can ever beat the warmth this drama gives.

was just about to rewatch it but just wanted to say TEAM TAEK SINCE DAY 1!!! The way she told him “marry noona later” lmaooo they gave us the biggest hint since the beginning :D

also if you plan on watching this ignore the comments and just watch!! and if you’ve watched it and hated who ended up with who i recommend to watch it again with the thought of Taek being the husband and i guarantee you’ll see why he HAD to be her endgame.

lastly i’m usually the type to not care about negative comments even about my favourite dramas but reading a couple negative ones here kinda hurt :( yes it’s slow and it focuses more on the families and their daily interactions but imo it’s the main point of this drama, to watch it as if they’re people we meet often and see how their relationships build and develop gradually every day, hence why it may feel slow for some but personally it feels rather home-y(?) making me fall for each and every character in this drama all the more

Agree with most people saying it’s quite flat and they barely have any chemistry..

Never watched the anime/read the manga but I have a feeling it wasn’t just from that “kick” encounter did he start liking her? If I remember correctly he told Aiko he liked someone for a while already (and at the start of the movie when they introduced him they said he likes someone but it’s a secret who), if it was truly Mei (I assume so) I wish they showed it in the movie somehow when he actually first met her and took notice of her when she’s supposed to be quiet and always just in the background at the beginning. Without it everything just felt rushed and quite all over the place.

Also despite them having scenes together (well ofc but) I feel like she had more meaningful(?) encounters with Kai and for a bit I somewhat rooted for him even tho it also made me uncomf that he tried to hit on her when he knew she had a boyfriend and it’s his bestfriend even. Meanwhile I feel like the very few scenes Yamato and Megumi were together I felt like he actually seemed more comfortable around her lol

Overall it was still a decent watch to kill time, but even then I feel weird that I somewhat want both leads to end up with different people, yet I was also hoping I could get even a short scene of Kai and Megumi meeting just so they can have a satisfying ending too ><

Idk how i completed this 5 or 6 years ago but decided to rewatch it bc i was kinda bored lol, but this time around i’m dropping this

If yall want a better ending you can stop around 1:16:00 mark :)

try Our secret (or Secrets in the lattice on dramacool)! it's quite similar yet imo the leads there are much much more likeable

Actually watched this about 2 or 3 months ago but just came here again to say out of all the adaptations of this story I've watched this has the best ML for me, it's a pity this is only a movie because i can actually stand ML in this one and i would have loved seeing his interactions with FL for more, longer episodes.

Loved this version just as much as the original!! Was a bit sad i finished it so quickly bc there wasn’t a lot of episodes, but on the upside i liked how there’s basically no fillers! And yet I still felt all the emotions i felt when i watched the original, i must say they did such a great job for this adaptation :)

i actually liked how they kept it light all throughout, i feel like it wouldn’t really match the vibe of the first half of this drama if they dwell too much on their issues in the second half. so glad how they just kept it simple yet everything still makes sense to me.

+ i really like both leads so much (i already mentioned about FL in a previous comment so i’ll just do ML this time) there are dramas where sometimes i don’t really feel like ML deserved FL and the things she does for him but ZSY is different and i liked how since the beginning he’s already expressing his love for her in his own ways, and it shows because even DX was so sure of his love for her. it’s so refreshing to see this type of ML in a youth drama who’s so warm and expressive aaaaa i’m just so gonna miss this pair and the whole gang for sure :(

Finished ep 16 and can we just talk about how we finally got a FL that isn’t / doesn’t act naive of the feelings ML has for her?? altho i understand ML as a watcher if i was DX i would’ve just cried and leave him alone for good lmfao. anyways current episodes are a little painful to watch but i wouldn’t say the reasons of either leads are dumb at all, and i especially admire FL for pursuing what/who she likes (and usually FLs in other dramas do this annoyingly but DX is simply really likeable and she just makes me root for her) truly truly one of my favourite characters in a drama now

So sweet and all the characters are likeable!! glad i found this gem the leads are super cuteee

I hope I don't have to wait too long for a new drama from him to air again TT

I may be the opposite as everyone that I watched this first before YAMG and initially liked this better at first (I wasn't that hooked to YAMG until episode 17 lol, but now they're equally two of my favourite cdramas). I agree with most people tho that they're very different apart from gaming and having a popular FL/common ML

But if you're planning to watch this just give it a try I promise it'd be worth it!!

looooooove this so much!! MYY can be annoying sometimes tho haha, but nevertheless really sweet! started watching for xuanyi but fell in love with everyone overall (wenjun!!!! and i def need xiaowen as main lead in a drama)
