As I love the story, I just decided to skip LCF scenes. The actor is doing such a great job by making him so detestable😅
The problem is definitely not the actor! We know he's good. But in this case the writers really were merciless haha. I am unfortunately going to be doing the same, which is a shame because I really enjoy Gao Han on screen :(
I'm struggling to enjoy watching scenes that Liu Chengfeng is in, regardless of the purpose they serve to the story. I almost just didn't finish ep 22, and I'm considering not continuing. I sympathized with him at the beginning, but now he's just so embarrassing to watch!
I started watching this for Jing Tian, and I'm definitely not regretting it. I'm only on episode three, but I absolutely love her in this role. It suits her very well
Of all the things I anticipated for the two episodes released today, I was not expecting a chicken POV! I'm not sure if I absolutely loved it or found it absurd
I kind of agree with Li Tianze on the media's questions for Wang OK... they just wanted to embarrass that poor girl. We're not shown his full interview, but it seemed like Wang OK got the harsher questions about the CP than Li Tianze, though Wang OK clearly has the talent to stand and shine on her own
I'm not going to give hate to anyone, as I know he has worked equally as hard as the other contestants, but I am a little surprised that Wu Yaotao got into the top 5. But he has been a favorite of the judges since the beginning, and especially Ella's. I think a performer like Wu Yaotao just isn't for me, but I wish him luck for the next stage.
I’m following this show mainly because of the judges, because I’m more of a fan of Zhou Shen, Ella and Jackson,…
I am in the same boat... I watch primarily because of the judges, but the contestants have grown on me. I really liked An Qi and Veegee. I was crushed when they were eliminated because they were wonderful performers to watch, and, just in my opinions, performed at a consistently better level than some of the current remaining performers (no shade to them, because they have also worked hard, but some of the skill difference is really obvious. I really disagree with a lot of audience voting... but that's nothing new).
I was disappointed by episode 8 for the same reasons. You might have to wait a little, but there are people who post cuts of the judges on YouTube (or may just Zhou Shen, haha. I haven't actually seen any for any other judges, but I also didn't go and search them out. I assume there are at least cuts of Jay Park and Jackson too).
It was such a bittersweet, yet satisfying ending. The bg music playing through their wedding, Chen's flashbacks…
I was happy to see Chen dealing with his unrequited love in a surprisingly mature and dignified way. Which, I guess was the point, but still. Refreshing to see in a drama.
Also, I cried so much during his death scene. I have a soft spot for similar character types, so I really like Shen Jinghong. So tragic.
Oh, I have watched untold Chinese palace historicals and this is one of the best I've seen. I really like the…
Hahaha, I agree. A lot of shots of Shen Jinghong just staring. The shots didn't need to go on for that long. The actor is really good at the teary, tortured look though
I'm really upset about Veegee leaving... I wish she stayed. I love her voice, so powerful and moving. She is so strong and talented. 加油Veegee ❤️❤️打动了我的心
The way she asked the singers for their reasons was uncomfortable. It didn't seem like giving them a chance to…
Same! I enjoyed both of their performances. They are very skilled singers. I'm glad they stopped Huang Qishan from commenting before the audience voting, so it could not influence their decisions. I hope both contestants are able to go forward.
Huang Qi Shan. I didn't know about her before this show and now I don't have a good image of her. Since episode…
The way she asked the singers for their reasons was uncomfortable. It didn't seem like giving them a chance to explain, but to confront them. She assumed the worst, and I think that is why the other stage recommenders were confused. But I think it's important to note that Huang Qishan was upset because Li Tianze (the boy) changed the lyrics, changing the meaning of the song. She was worried adapting the song (to sing in a competitive environment) did not preserve its original intention. It wasn't about who was singing it. It sounds like this might have been lost in translation in the subtitles. But Wang OK (the girl) chose the song because it touched her, and she understood the song's intentions. This could have been avoided if Huang Qishan did not assume the worst from the contestants.
