I hope PHS will take more roles in dramas like this and less romance. I feel fits him better.

I think he knew yeom wont stay still but he never second guessed the chairman because he believed in him and knew how close they were
He never thought he would betray him like this but also u never know what ppl talk behind close doors or maybe DJ would not thought yeom will go so low saying those things to his mentor.
Sadly instead of just confronting DJ and talking the chairman choose the most coward and evil route. Killing him.
