Yep, in the first episode, the young rebel heir is making his escape by "putting on a costume" to make a get away. I don't even understand how they could even justify making the scene work because that guy look like he had a full blown makeup artist from Hollywood make him up. The screenwriter could have made it work with the character wearing a borrowed uniform , baseball cap and mask. All you have to do is take a look around the Douyin app to see how some Chinese citizens refer to Africans as scavengers and other slurs to understand that image the screenwriter portrayed represents a deeper racist hatred for black people.
