It's an open ending. For me it's HE!

There are 3 endings on episode 24.

1. FL plans to go to USA for treatment, but dies on the way to the airport. ML stays by her side (and probably dies too? because both are lying on a snowfield)

2. FL died and ML fullfills his promise. ML hear FL voice while working.

3. FL successfully finished treatment and comes back to ML.

For me the 3rd ending was perfect.
