This drama has stayed with me for weeks. The characters were compelling and their behavior was thought-provoking. The acting was top notch. Peilun Quan, in particular, was excellent as always.
I also don't get the hate for Unchained Love. It's one of my favorite dramas. I think some of the transitions between drama and comedy can be jarring, but other than that it's Wang Hedi at his best, the FL is a unique, likeable character and the Emperor's personality change is fascinating to watch. The pace is good and the production values are high.
I have submitted a page for him, hopefully it will be updated soon. Not much info is online for him that I can…
I feel like a good business model would be to start a company that handles short drama actors' Western social media. Some of them are on Weibo, but they can't post to Instagram or YouTube.
For me, this actor stole the show in "Master of My Own" and "Cute Programmer." I have no idea why he hasn't gotten any lead parts in mainstream dramas, but I guess it could be due to the glut of actors in China. I hope he becomes more successful, because he really deserves it. He's good and he has presence.
I was shocked too when I first saw this. But seeing how many dramas he is filming maybe his schedule was booked…
That was my thought too. Being one of the main leads means a huge time investment, so being in a support role once in a while makes sense for him. It's possible he also was doing a favor for someone involved in producing the series.
It's hard to know how to review this without making someone wonder why I watched the whole thing and hope for Season 2. The production values are low, even for a short Chinese drama and the acting is definitely amateurish.
This has been remade with Ma Xiao Yu and Zuo Yi, so you can watch it with better production values and actors. However, I would suggest aslo watching this if you can (if you want to watch it with English subs, you'll need to download it). The storyline was changed somewhat for the one with Ma Xiao Yu and Zuo Yi, and I prefer this one. The character of the ML is more ruthless and rougher around the edges and it makes the clash of wills between the two leads more interesting.
I just want to say that I think it's so cool that he studied traditional Chinese opera in school. How often do you see a young person study that these days?
Something kept bothering me while watching season 2, and I finally figured it out...most of the actors looked…
I think you might be right (although I hope we're both wrong) about surgery, because I was just watching "Marry Me, My Queen" before I started About is Love S1 again (I had dropped it) and he looks really different - not for the better. He's so handsome in About is Love S1 that I have no idea why he would do surgery. I mean, he was breathtakingly handsome.
