What I realised after watching the whole episode was that JW is whipped for SK. But there’s only a small chance of them getting back together because they are screaming at each other instead of listening to each other.
Both JW and SK are expecting to hear something from each other in order to move forward or get back together.
Case in point - The first chat during the smoking area, JW was asking SK what else can he do so that she can forgive him for what he said during their breakup. He realised that the words bothered SK and SK could not get over it so he needed to address it. Chat ended up with JW crying AGAIN, he said it was too hard for him.
The second chat was SK visiting his area. She told him that since YJ and him are having deep feelings, she wants to get over him and move on. He cut her off and told her to talk outside. He refused to accept that she wants to move on from him and keeps trying to probe whether she still has feelings for him.
The chat outside was where everything came together.
• SK apologised for her behaviour and said she won’t do it again for as long as she lives. • JW keeps reiterating his point that he came on the show to get back together with her.
What they both don’t realise was that this was the reason why they couldn’t get back together.
• SK needed to hear from JW that his words hurt her and he would be more mindful of his words and not say those words to her again. • JW needed to hear from SK that she still has feelings for him and wants to get back together with him.
And the reason why SK doesn’t want to get back together with him 100% because she knows they will quarrel for the same reasons until he addressed the issue on hand. She addressed her issues and apologised for her actions. She knows what she needed to change on her side but JW didn’t.
And unpopular opinion, I don’t think SK is manipulative. I think she is finding it hard to give a yes I wanna get back together or no I don’t wanna get back together because of this. She obviously has feelings for him but she wanna get back only if things change and their actions and behaviours were different but JW didn’t acknowledge it.
At the end, both of them are telling each other what they needed to hear from the other party. But they are not hearing it so they are in this wishy washy state which is so frustrating to watch for a viewer who is rooting for them to get back together.
Finally some baby steps between Hwihyun and Seokyung! I want them both to breathe some new life into each other…
I agree with everything you said about JW and YJ. I do think JW vibes with everyone and YJ was so readily available for him. YJ was just ready to go all in for him just because JW had all the qualities that was missing from CJ. She was kinda blind and smitten and fell in love too easily. I wished YJ hadn't make herself so down that she's only for JW. JW would have more time and space to sort out his feelings.
And I'm with you that JW only truly likes SK. Everytime they have a talk alone, both of them end up crying. They just have lots of unspoken feelings with one another.
They are trying to move on and put their feelings aside. But whenever SK does anything to JW, JW always always softens up.
Side note: I'm may be bias but I'm team JW x SK. But both of them need to start listening to each other. JW needs to listen to SK and address her needs, not turn the convo around to him hurting. Acknowledge what she felt, talk about it and then move on to his feelings. Because they are both talking at each other without listening. If only they realised that, they could work it out.
Side note 2: I also do think that it was a wrong decision for them to come on the show. Both needed time to heal and when JW came onto SK so aggressively during the third night, their relationship got worst. JW wants to get back fast but SK needs to know that both needed to change before getting back together. JW failed to realise that. They could have worked it out if they met at a later time. 4 months after was too soon.
Ok, so I have mixed feelings about ep 5... Ju Won is my fave, however, he did come unto Seo Kyung quite strongly.…
Same, JW is my favourite too. I was rooting for them together but after that emotional scene, I don't think they are a good match together. They have fun times together, but they don't really understand each other.
