it has 3 screenwriters, maybe that's the reason it's so inconsistent and uneven. it's missing a large chunk of a plot in the middle. the entire contest part is ridiculous. it's got plotholes the size of texas. Thaekhun's character so useless, seems like an important at the beginning, then fades into the abyss, only to appear for the contest with maybe 3-4 lines. it would work better as a 5ep drama maybe.
also is it a bl? skinship is minimal, tawan and hope realise they have feelings for each other 10min before the end, but like there's no real conversation on screen where they speak to each other deeply about how they feel, it's all so shallow.
the show just fails on the direction and screenwriting level. A lot of room for improvement.
Joong's acting was better in the latter episodes where he could show a lil bit more of his range, Dunk seems a lost cause tho.
To point out the flaws: lack of proper plot (just when you think it may go in the interesting direction, we're back on the bland level), HORRIBLE editing. If they cut out the show to 8 eps, it may have some flavour. You expect a slightly better level from GMM.
Sadly Thai dramas seem to be lacking a lot these days.
i know only one thai actor who can pull up multiple characters in one drama by himself and that's Gun Atthaphan. good luck to Frame, tough job he's got.
I know that the original had huge hurdles, but I liked this version much better, even if it turned into more melodrama teritory than a comedy. Lee Yehwan so cute, I need to see him in more productions.
it was disappointing in places and tbh forgettable. acting was fine, music was boring, story and dialogue could improve, especially in the latter eps. i especially liked friends to lovers cp. i counted 3 times when I could see filming mic, crew getting sloppy?
