Because i read the novel i can understand her more, but if i haven't read the novel and watching this show with no information i would think she is a red flag. I can understand why so many people don't like female character.
I wish people read the novel first before watching the show, they would enjoy it much more. Theres so many little details in the novel that series can't show. For example what the brother is thinking in the car ride when he drops off the FL lead at the hospital.

I think the drama was great and really enjoyed it but it should not be 9.2.

Yes she leaves the family and gives back the flat and car keys. She moves in with the ML family after they start dating. In the novel this happens 10 days after they started dating. She still visit them sometimes but they ignore her.

The mum and dad been arguing and she set the house on fire. She wanted to kill the family but the FL survived. The fathers were friends i believe so thats why they adopted her, i am not 100% sure.

I did npt understand this bit fully in the novel. So apparently someone leaked that the ML was giving military information to the enemy so the army torched him and kicked him out. He was training to become a special force agent. The ML nearly died because of this.

she is adopted, this is when she first moved in to the family house, it was more like a little crush. In the novel her real mother tried to kill the family, she was the only survivor. The Meng family adopted her and changed her family registration after few years when she became a teenager.

The get in a relationship after the earthquake. The brother and the ML have one argument when they are in a relationship but no arguments afterwards. The FL tells the family about the relationship and leaves them. She gives her flat and car keys back and moves in with the MLs family. The mum messes around with the FL promotion at work. Later on we find out that the mother has done something much worse to the ML in the past, the FL doesn't know about this but she finds out from someone else. This is one of the main reason ML family don't like them to be in a relationship. This incident happened when he was in the army. The mother is an evil bitch.
This is all in the novel so i do not have any clue what they gonna do in the show.

In the novel he has feeling for her, i think she liked him too. This was one of the main reason the mum wanted the Fl to change the family name. This was before she meet the ML.

I wish they followed the novel more. I hate when writers make so many changes. In the novel the sister and her uni friend was at the police station and it was Xu Qins brother that helped the uni friend out of trouble by calling the police chief, no one knew it was the brother that helped her. Song Yan did not receive any help from anyone, he paid the fine by himself. So stupid that they made changes to so many important parts.
Still a good drama but i fell like they gonna keep changing things.
