i actually like the way they made their ep confusing (reality scene, imagination scene). it gave some unpredictability to the ep. the audience expect it was real but it was just Vlad's imagination. it was a pretty damn powerful scene. Vlad is longing for someone to understand him, to make him feel important, to make him feel that someone is looking out for him, and that scene opened that chapter. Now we see how broken he is inside.
I like how they put up the birthday surprise scene as well. the audience expected that the scene was another imagination(due to the imagination scene of Vlad), thus not expecting Karl to prepare the surprise. But when they did not cut the scene, the audience then realized that it was real, thus adding that surprise factor to the audience. in return, it made the birthday surprise scene a very sweet gesture from Karl.

my opinion to those negative opinions, they did not get the whole story and why it happened that way. maybe they cannot relate to it because they probably haven't experienced it.
maybe their coming out story was so smooth that they did not experience struggle. or they are not used to a guy who is very flirty so they thought he was forcing the other guy to like him (Cairo had a choice to block Gav on ep 1, but he didn't until ep 3. he unblocked him on ep 3 as well. so by that gesture alone, we can say that Cairo liked Gav from the start. its just that he was very defensive due to some reasons tackled on ep 7 and 8 and even reaffirming his feelings to Gav on ep10). maybe they did not experience being defensive about sexuality because they outed smoothly. maybe they havent been in an LDR setup because their love is just near them. or maybe they are just trolls who love to drag a good series down. we just dont know.
All in all, people have different experiences and struggles in life. my reality might not be a reality to you (i hope you get my point).
I stopped watching after episode 2 and then skipped to episode 10 (the kiss-through-plastic scene was mighty weird)…
because you probably only see the series as it is. you cannot probably relate to it thats why it bores you. but for most people, they can relate to the struggles that the series portrayed, the feeling of loosing someone without seeing them in their last moments, the feeling that you need to hide your true self because the last time it was out it cost the life of your dad, the feeling of finally getting the acceptance and the forgiveness that you seek from your family, the feeling that someone likes you seriously and wants to be with you and is ready to fight for you, the feeling that you finally met the person you love, the feeling of being thrilled by the love story of your best friend, the feeling of reconcilation with your love after you had a big fight, the feeling of witnessing a budding new love, and many more. there are many people who can relate to it thats why they love the series. the actors gave justice to their roles as well, in return, the audience feel the drama. if you havent experience those that i mentioned, of course it will bore you like how i was bored with MIR so i skipped to the frame-book part instead because their story interest me more and can relate to some of their experience and wants someone like frame.

you dont need to move on at all. Gamboys Season 2 has been confirmed, a movie is coming as well, and Pearl Next Door is in the works which, we believe, started around EP11 of Gameboys ? (she was missing until EP13).
