this is a FIONE MAN, no hate to other male actors, but a lot of them tend not to fit these ceo or Tsudandre lead roles because they don't have that oomf in them, and he has a lot of OOMF

had visuals, had cinematography, but lacked everything else; the director is definitely the issue here. I have seen enough of IU's dramas to know she's an incredible actress. Hence, I know her acting choices are not her fault. I would not say Byeon Woo Seok's acting is at the highest level, but I have seen enough to know he isn't bad; really, the director is to blame for this.

Really confused by your comment, of course, with the popularity of the weak hero, of course, Jihoon would be praised more on here. You speak as if YHJ has not been receiving anything but praise from the knet side because he is better known there. Also, I'm not the only one praising his performance. The same YHJ you talk about just said this movie would never have worked if it weren't for Jihoon's performance, so confused as to why you ruined a lovely comment.

I believe the cultural divide between South Koreans and non-South Koreans is eliminating us from feeling just how profound this movie is. This person, who was a real person, a 17-year-old, is taught in their history books and has a whole festival dedicated to him. I can now understand why there is enormous love for this movie in Korea. Park Jihoon, once again, I can't put into words how incredible an actor he is. This was an Oscar-level performance.

I do not have to spell out everything just because someone lacks comprehension or takes every word literally. I love IU, I love Byeon Woo Seok, and I think this drama deserves some grace.

I know you guys will crucify me for this, but this drama is a disappointment. I don’t know what is up with the director, seriously. Every time I watch it, I feel like something is missing, and I still can’t pinpoint what it is. I know Korea is hating on it and calling the leads bad actors. Still, I know they aren’t the problem, at least I know this for IU, who is an incredible actress. I don’t know much about Byeon Woo Seok. I have seen him act, and he is good, but I think this is the worst I've seen him. He has the same expression over and over again. idk if that’s a script choice or an acting choice, whatever it is, it’s awful. I think they also don’t have much chemistry, like I’m not feeling it. There’s no tension, passion, or anything. I feel disappointed because kdramas have been on a disappointing run this year, and I thought this would break through, but sadly, it has not. idk man, hopefully the leads don't let the criticism get to them, especially Byeon Woo Seok, who's been getting the most flak. Yo, what's up with the top reviewers being so low? Let's fix that because I understand people may not like the pacing and the male lead's lack of screen time, but it definitely does not deserve a 6. y'all always do this when y'all see a high-rated drama
