Don't go in for the Romance because even if they start liking each other ard 16-18 episode the conclusion drags on till the end due to usual misunderstandings and noble idiocy tropes. Sad considering i really liked FL character as she was straightforward and innocent at the same time.

How, i don't know but will tell you why. Doom heard her wish that she wanted world to end after knowing her terminal illness and granted her a wish in exchange to her life. I think she agreed, but if she doesn't wish the worlds end as her wish, one person she loves the most will die instead. In the end since she didn't wish doom on the world he dies because she loves him the most at the end and gets her life back in return.
