Last two episodes quite confusing. So many different battles going on, and the scenes seem disjointed. Here are…
1) In the novel, he got one month to live but got cured by someone later. Yu Wuyuan got powerful because he stole the sacred jade moon technique. But still, he got defeated because he didn't achieve its full potential. Like the older masters said, to achieve it fully, they (Ba--Hei Fangxi) needed to use it together (connecting their souls). That's why Yu Wuyuan got defeated by the couple, not by Huang.
Yang Yang is my favorite actor. This drama proves his versatility. But, to me, the main appeal of this drama ends in episode 40. The last five episodes do not actually add anything to the plot.
Ok, a good plot with good acting makes this drama more appealing. Although I was expecting the twist in the last episode, I still like it. It's a low-budget and underrated drama, so I am not expecting a S2 any sooner.
In brief, Nice drama. The plot is good, some may find it cliche, but they put it in a nice and enjoyable way. Love the chemistry between the couples, but considering the speed of their relationship, I was expecting more ( e.g., marriage scene, children would be a bonus :P).
Saw the preview of the next episodes. It seems their misunderstanding will grow deeper. Don't know how many episodes will it take to patch this up. At this moment, I am hating both the SML (ML's cousin) and SFL (ML's friend) more, they are practically ruining the ML's chances by imposing their own philosophy.
I linked the plot and acting also. But the drama seems draggy to me. There should be no way more than 30 episodes if it could not fit into 24 episodes.
