The moment he stood outside and came through the door , i wander if the focus on his feet crossing the door with the high ledge was signifying paying respect. Doubt anyone could enter ancestral halls at their convenience. Yes the entire scene was so emotionally moving. Every conversation, action and emotion seals the truth. It was not just coming of age ceremony, it was a reunion of mum and son - whom son missed for a long time, uncle and nephew whom both missed for long time.

To me they are of equal standing and it is beautiful that they started on equal platform. She was protecting him when they were younger. Now he is more than able to protect her too. Together they are both equally traumatised in their ways, equally morally grey, equally capable in battle of wits, equally daring to love and hate. I love that XN didnt fall for him on first sight and she isnt aware of his jealous feelings too. Slow yet brewing... they are power packed waiting to be exploded...
