I started this drama because of the actor who plays the ml, but within the first two episodes, I could care less…
Try on, it is a chef kiss for the entire casts. Sides n leads, the mini stories are really good, actors, shots, music, background, fight scenes. There r loadful of lol and loadful of tears. ML grows from a happy go lucky lad to a powerful wise leader garnering the support of many at the end.
OST, my fav is ~”Far Mountains Like Yesterday “-by Chen Chusheng 🫠
Mine too!!! There is an ost which i really liked but i do not know which is that😅 the lady singing the song when YWS n GZY kissed at Xue after coming out of the cold waters. Song was acoustic like n her voice brilliant.
Out of all the people who had sacrificed themselves for Gong, I was moved more by Young master Hua, he unselfishly…
Me too... his death was so alone, so sacrificial 😭😭😭 i would swap him for SGQ death any time🤣🤣🤣might be unpopular opinion but... that is my thoughts😅😅😅
There are many relationships which was impactful and beautifully done...and here are some of mine, would you have any else to add that moved you?
1. Jin Fan and Zisheng - loved their relationship development, one pursued, one withheld, and their final status was beautiful (not to mention highly comical).
2. Zisheng and Young master Hua - both could relate to each other, the way they wanted to excel so their dads could accept them. One already had acceptance without knowing, another might not have ever. Still their friendship to pursue innovation and partners in crime is beautiful. His end was tragic and reconciled with the knot in his heart.
3. Xue Tongzi and Young master Xue - very beautiful loyalty, brotherhood and deep seeded love that last forever. Loved their story and asthetically beautiful - their conversations, background, fight scenes and their end. Impactful, moving and breathtaking.
4. Gong brothers Jue and Zhi - no other words needed. They are never over protective of each other, they are brotherhood giving a reason to their existence. Very amazing scenes together, giving, understanding, plotting and fighting. Asthetically amazing with their side eyes and smirks.
5. Elder Yue and Yun Que - one love story i loved deeply and thoroughly. It was pure, simple yet so bitter sweet. The end bird flying to the bracelet signify her final freedom and could be wherever she wanted, sweetly, beautifully, freely.
6. Ya Si and Yun Que/ Yun WS - their friendship is very beautiful. It keeps their heart intact, making them not cold hearted, with that little glimmer of love and feelings in their cold lives. How Ya Si ended made me wonder if that was because of his regret towards Yun Que and him not wanting to make the same mistake twice. His love for the sisters was so beautifully done - in a world of darkness, they were his warm sunrise.
7. Wuji and Gong ZY - Her selfless motherly love for ZY is beautiful. Although some twist, the end broke me, the bloody tears and hand grasping for the warmth of a loved one before breathing their last, heart wrenching. A peak to the end of assasins... tragically heart breaking.
8. SGQ with herself - to be honest, i dont quite appreciate her role and was pissed when she came on screen until now. She is indeed pitiful but that was how she chose at the end. Yun sisters were pitiful too but chose to love others and accepted others love. Not so with SGQ, her relation with herself was more important than anything in the world except maybe a tinge on her shifu at the end. Everything she does is calculated and involves a transaction. Never real and never at a losing end. Sad that she could never experience someone's love fully, because she will never believe she was that loved. Pitiful yet when she watered the plant, perhaps her thoughts were "i belong to me"... and that was where she is at peace.
9. Last but not least Yun WS and Gong ZY - the blind trust at times they had of each other is very beautiful. Their journey to each other is difficult yet amazing. The assasin theme itself is not a HE material, yet the journey of distrust to trust, of harm to protection, of fear to love - the journeys they trodded on was beautiful and certainly captivating.
Am rewatching fav scenes to pick up stuff i missed😅😅😅 love the development of 2 Xue masters and ZYWS... their first encounters and subsequently their trust and sacrifice. And of course i laughed at revisiting Xie Tongzi after seeing the adult version🤣🤣🤣
