That is issue there. Characters like Wei Wei, people tend to fault the actor for not being so lively and say the actor is flat... but if the role is someone who is closed off like Wei Wei then it be odd for her to be bursting with emotions like Xiao Fei or Shan Shan.

That is why I think her acting is not flat because she is playing the role right.

Yea sometimes I would feel like that as well but in the end I just say to heck with it. In the end, what matters is whether you like it or not.

I am also watching this drama. I have to agree with some of your points. Though in my opinion, I do not think Yang Mi acting is flat.
