Entire Ryo character and storyline is being "whiny bitch"
He do drugs and live with other people money all his life suddenly he is a "revolutionary hero", also ML uses beggars money since day two but preach and act like saint, such a hypocrites.
His and "bar lady", daugher arc should be finished within first few episodes. In the end ML also becomes annoying whiner like ryo.
Only good think about the drama is Lee Bum Soo character, only he has any self awareness in the drama.
while other "good guys" preach and pulls deus ex machina devices out of air to succeed in the end but he work hard to succeed, his dialog and characterization is real good.
Lee Bum Soo dialogs are really good,
1-9 : cartoonish villain 10-15 : every single lines from him is ten times better than most philosophical classes 16-20 : cartoonish villain
Look up himono-onna (干物女) dramas , its a part of josei genre.mary sue at work and live like "drunken pig"…

You hate josei tropes but looking for dramas with josei trope ( hires the ML to maintain the cleanliness), its like going in to sushi bar and complain about serving raw fish. I don't understand what are you really looking for.

well both of them are josei genre. All the rich, successful and perfect guys in surrounding few miles radius fall head over heels for plain Jane messy hair FL for no reason. hire them as maid/secretary/fake bride ect . Buy her cloths, pay for total make over, piggy back ride ect.
This sub genre is dedicated to 20-30 single ladies, fresh out of college, looking for work ect waiting for knight in shining armor.
Three stages of redikomi
Shojo 12 to 18 (magic girl , pick color stuff) > cinderella 18 to 30 (pig +knight in shining armor) > himono-onna 30 to 45 (pigsty +knight in shining armor, strong independent woman with clumsy life)
after 45 they accept the reality i guess and some infidelity stuff.
Its either pig or pigsty, choose your route.
