I'm aware romance wasn't the main focus, and that ink-making craftsmanship was. I applaud this production for such a fine and enjoyable drama series. I was just saying that there were cuts made, not just romance-related or couple-related, that were made due to the "sensitive/provocative" nature of those cuts. I wish the cuts were made without sacrificing the plausibility and pace of the final episode. That, IMO, was the main reason many viewers were left dumbfounded and misunderstood the ending. No doubt, some viewers had chosen to imagine their own ending lol. Still, this drama deserves a higher rating than what it has gotten thus far here on MDL and elsewhere on Douban, for instance. The Heir should be at least an 8.0 (to 9.0) anywhere.
C has a ban on BL? Doesn't seem so to me. They tried to "clean up" their industry, but they still churn out so many BLs, esp short series. I'm really puzzled how their scissor-hands work. Of course, I'd rather they (the authorities) at least respect the hard work and creativity.
