Am I the only person who was a fan of the shirts Film wore as Charn? They were so flamboyant and so hot and went well with his ideas of masculinity and gender. He challenges norms of how men should dress themselves in a field of law and is shameless about his sexuality and I love it. I love a confident gay! Jam and Film really outdid themselves. I loved them from To Sir, with Love but they have recreated that magic here. Their chemistry is so so good despite having such little skinship. Have loved the drama that only Lakorns can bring and this served well.
A good attempt to deal with the cultural importance of Kawaii. Many academic books and articles have already been written on the subject alongside other cultural factors peculiar to East Asia.
I liked the part where you are making cultural topics more accessible to the larger non-academic public and making them more aware of what they are consuming. Keep growing! A small suggestion in future though, do read a couple of more academic articles to make your findings and analysis more concrete and rooted in research and referencing them at the end of the article for people who might want to explore further. Thanks!
Your article reminded me of the current research on the kind of FL's allowed to exist in Cdramaland. It's a similar kind of problem across different countries and hints at a deeper socio-cultural mythologizing of the contemporary female figure.
he is so naive and innocent in running man and so mature and philosophical in his interviews. I love that he gives so much importance to acting rather than gathering fame or popularity. He is so down to earth that i go gahhhh over his real personality... I also love that he is ready to learn and be amazed with his co-stars..and when he says noona to Park min Young...he is just so adorable as Bong Sooya...
This Drama won my heart and made me realize what makes a good drama. Everyone wants romance and comedy. But a drama that gives all the human relationships so much depth including the adorable family..that is when it turns into a masterpiece. The writer is utterly brilliant and i already idolize her. Gonna stalk her.. kekeke ..:D
horror and laughs. SOLD!
A brilliant piece of work. There aren't any horror movies in the world that can be as hilarious as this one. A must watch!!!
I died at the end. ROFL
I have a very bad impression on Lakorns, the ones I watched were... bad. But the movies seem interesting and cute!~~…
Don't be disheartened. Their are many lakorns that are so good. Give Oum Ruk,, Soot Saneha, Plerng Torranon, Punyachon Kon Krua a try. They are sweet, cute lakorns that are not slap/kiss. Thai Movies are amazing as well. :)
Loved "First Kiss"! havent seen the other two, but I will watch them for sure :) I can also recommend…
I have watched all you have mentioned apart from Yes or No. I just cudnt find the subs for that a few months ago..Let me search again for it though. :)
Que Sera Sera was made fantastic and fabulous by Eric. He owned the role and was simply brilliant as the Bastard Kang Tae Joo whom we all love to hate and whom we all hate to love.
Remember that heartbreaking scene in th ebar when he is literally breaking like he would die in QSS? fell in love with him irrevocably. when he is acting he aint doing a role. He becomes the character.
Eric needs more demanding roles like these to shine through. Whats up with idols acting nowadays and being pretty bad at it yet having all that screen time. We need more Eric on screen..^_^
Can't wait for august to come
I was fooled by Full House Thai version lol. I found it so great that I wanted to discover Thai dramas. The most…
Dear. you have to find the gems amidst that slap kiss thingy. Now Lakorns have more willing scenes. The thing is premarital sex in Thai culture is worse than a rape. They see rape as skinship and nothing bad. It is an ideology of a very conservative country. But not all drams are like that. :)
Why don't you try their romantic comedies? Try Punyachon Kon krua, Soot Sanaeha, 365 Days of love and Oum Ruk.
Most of the Thai actors and actresses are of mix blood. Its a delight to look at such exotic faces. Green/hazel eyes, white skin and Asian eyes. The best part. The heroes are just so sizzling hot. Current favorite is Mike D Angelo. ^_^. Yaya and Chompoo are so pretty too.

Mani kumao chinguya..<3
let me know if you end up finding a gem of a drama among theose..:)
I like Missing You a lot too. It teaches you life lessons and though it aint all happy and balmy like the dramas im known to stick to i still love it. Their love is about perseverance and endurance and filled with pain. I admit i think i love the child actors more than the Adult ones. However both of the set of actors do a superb job with their acting. Now thats's the kind of love i root for. I also feel sad about Jun. Yoon Seung Ho is hot but he won't get the girl. His love is also about protecting but it can be stifling sometimes.
I will write a huge analysis review once i finish it.:D

It is quite awesome.. I get to do what i want and talk all i want. Once you get me started on a thing i love i wont ever stop. That's why most of the people in my circle stuff me with food so i want talk about the books i love and stuff.
But doing Literature also means it restrains your reading habits. Now i rarely read anything apart from the course books becoz there is usually no time and im utterly bored of the classics that we are forced to read every semester.
I wana teach university students and read all the books i want in the world. Being a Prof means i get a good salary and means teaching the next generation. i feel its a noble work. I also Wana teach the underprivileged kids on weekends once i become a prof.
Im watching the cable drama Witch's Romance and loving it. Apart from that im trying to finish Missing you.
What about you?

Hello Chingu..
happens all the time..:D
I was talking about the writer of that kdrama Aurora Princess. The dramatic writer who murders even the hero in the 150 episode long drama.
Watching anything good lately Chingu?
Im in a slump for close to 3 months now. Doesn't get better..:D
