Anyone know where we can watch the original version? Looks like the Viki and Netflix versions have cut scenes. I think the dramacool version isn't the complete version either. Thank you.
What about watching on Viki? Are there cut or blurred scenes too on Viki?
Just wanted to say thank you! I just finished 1997 on dramacool and so glad I watched it there (on 1994 now). I compared it to the versions on Netflix and Viki, and there were so many scenes that were blurred, music changed and cut scenes. Those scenes IMO are pretty crucial and adds to the story. To anyone that Is going to watch, I also recommend watching this elsewhere, not on Netflix or Viki, anywhere with the original everything so you can get the full experience.
It's also been a long time for me since my last TVB Canton drama. Believe i enjoyed this xianxia drama because…
Thanks for your thoughts @wenhoe @anastasiawun I am going to give this a shot and check it out! I also stopped chasing after tvb for quite a few years. I started watching kdramas instead since the quality for tvb has gone down. I'm glad to hear this is the usual cantonese comedy style. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. TVB hasn't made a good one like that in a long time. I'll see if I like it! I am excited for something good from tvb finally! Let's hope there's more like this to come.
Hi, bye mama(Netflix)I'm sorry I love you(Viki)Moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo(I watched on dramacool but it's…
hihi when did you see the moon lovers on viki (recently)? which country are you located in if you don't mind sharing. just wondering since it's not available in the US Viki =(. hoping it will be available one day. thank you!
Lol yeah j noticed that so they should credit the voice actors that they use. I am sure Henry feels the same way.…
I agree! They should credit the voice actors too. They probably have it in super fine print during the credits at the end. Too bad I can't read Chinese. Anyway, absolutely loved seeing Henry in action. That was enough for me =)
not sure but i think the ost was sang by henry it sounded like his voice. henry does speak mandarin so it could…
You are right. It was a voice actor =( It wasn't Henry's voice. I was really hoping to hear Henry's voice. The OST is his voice though. Sigh =( I guess it's back to Henry's Korean stuff so we can fully enjoy him.
I just finished this and I loved it because Henry was in it. I watched it just for him. I give the movie a 10 because of Henry. That said, this movie did no justice to Henry. I really hate it when China dubs almost everything =( I am speaking for myself, but I just can't get that connection with the characters and the actors =(. Everything in the movie was dubbed. I was hoping this would be different, but I guess not =(. That wasn't Henry's voice. There is also a well known HK TVB actor - Him Law, and that wasn't his voice either. The OST Henry sang was amazing though. That is his real voice. I can listen to that all day. It just sucks we couldn't enjoy Henry fully and see his full potential as an actor since we couldn't accurately judge because we couldn't hear his voice. Sigh =(
If I can get beyond the dubbing, the story wasn't bad. It felt too rush though. I agree with the others here, that this story would've been suited as a series rather than a movie. I would've liked to see some more character and plot development. It seemed to rush. The CGI wasn't that bad either. I was expecting the usual super fake/obvious CGI stuff, but I think they did an overall good job with it.
Watch for Henry! He has a cute scene where he is shirtless!
I finished all 8 episodes today!!! I absolutely loved every single episode. These two are so cute and humble. I also couldn't stop laughing and smile throughout. This is a true and real friendship they have. You can also tell they really care for their fans and they mean a lot to them. I loved this so much. I feel like this was made for the fans, as a way of saying thank you. It's rare we see something like this. Thank you so much Lee Seung Gi and Jasper for this amazing show.
