I finished cql yesterday morning and spent the rest of the day watching BTS and anything cql related, until 3 am. Then woke up at 6:30 am to continue. lol. Now listening to the OST and the heartache is real. It's 10 am and my eyes are puffy from crying and there are used napkins everywhere. I'm going nuts here.
Okay. You guys. I finished it. I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. I dont know how to describe the greatness…
Yes. I'm really glad I got to experience it, and even had the privilege to visit many other cities in China as well. My family lived in Shanghai. I was never really fond of Shanghai - I didn't appreciate the noise and dirt everywhere and the traffic was awful. Was even involved in two car accidents during a short period of time. I've understood from my old friends that the city has changed a lot, so much so that I wouldn't be able to recognize it anymore.
The city I did like though, was Qingdao! (the same city where Tsingtao beer comes from!) There are beautiful mountains there and the Yellow Sea shore.
Great Wall in Beijing was an amazing experience. We did a 12 km hike on the wall. That was pretty cool for a 14-year old. Can't remember much else of the city or how it even looked like, because it was covered in such thick pollution fog at the time. Pollution is still a big problem in Beijing. :(
Food was always great no matter where in China I went! I miss the food so much. And Chinese people in general were very polite, helpful and hospitable. Well, at least towards us foreigners, I can only speak from my experience. :)
When this effin corona crap is all over, I hope you can finally carry out your travel plans! Hope that won't take too long...!
Okay. You guys. I finished it. I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. I dont know how to describe the greatness…
Oh yes. If I had a hard copy, I could sleep with it next to me every night. And pretend it's WWX or LWJ, why not both.....LOL
I actually lived in China many years ago. Never have I ever, until now, regretted not picking up ANY Chinese - other than some very basic stuff, but not even one character, dammit. Lazy ass me(and young and dumb), wish I could go back in time and learn something useful, lol
Ah, I never watched Empress Ki! I've been meaning to watch it like ever since it came out, but never did...! I don't know why! It has such a great cast.
Haha, thank you for the advice!!! I'll take note! I can imagine it intensifies the experience! ;--))

Awwie. Geez, why can't we get paid from fandom? If I was as efficient with school and work as I am being a dramafan, I'd be rich and succesful already lol
Okay. You guys. I finished it. I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. I dont know how to describe the greatness…
Ahha, that's good to know! It'll be interesting to read it. It's too bad though that I can't read it as a real, physical book - I'd love to have a physical copy, I'm still old school like that, lol.
Eyyy, this is my 12th/13th year too! Started my dramacareer in '08. I only remember one other time when a drama ost made me feel similar to this, but still nowhere near - that was when I watched the Princess' Man. But man, The Untamed is on a whole another level. I can't compare this to any other drama. This is something so special and unique, I don't think anything can ever top this for me.
Awww! I feel you girl! I can't watch anything else either!!! What the heck has this drama done to us??? :D I had one other drama I was watching, but I can't bring myself to continue it! It doesn't feel right lol. I don't think I would feel anything watching it. I've given all of myself to this one. I predict a drama slump....but maybe its for the best if I don't watch anything while I read the novel, I wanna fully devote myself to it :-DD
Okay. You guys. I finished it. I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. I dont know how to describe the greatness…
Eyyyyy girl! Welcome! :D It's about to get even more intense :-D
Reading the novel on the side sounds smart! How are you doing it, are you watching the episode first and then reading the equivalent part of the novel, or....?
And girl, bless you for the links! Especially that long BTS+ interviews clip, watching it now. I'll listen to the OST later, right now I can't bear to listen any of the music from the drama cuz it makes me cry, haha. Like, the uncontrollable, can't stop-kind of crying lol. Dem feelings are still so raw. I'm nuts. :D And sleep deprived after that marathon. I kind of wish I had taken my time like you are, but I'm going to read the novel and then rewatch the drama taking my time with it. :)

Thank you!!! :)
If you can find that post, I'd love to read it!
I hope the novel will be translated to even more languages in the future! And I hope they'd make an official English translation of the novel one day. But I'm sure we'll be fine with the current translation for now :)
I'm Finnish by the way. :) Chances are veeeery slight that anything is ever translated to my language, lol. But I'm cool with that, since I usually read my books and watch my shows in English anyway
Ahhh. I watched it on YT! Thank you for the info on subs, this is very important to know! I'll have to resubscribe to Viki for the second time watch!!
I'm watching the BTS clips now. I must be out of my damn mind for crying even when watching them, lol. Feeling so sensitive. And probably a little sleep deprived after my little drama marathon, haha
I will definitely pester you when I need information, thank you so much! <3 I have to say this is the warmest fanbase in MDL that I have come across. Everyone here is so sweet and helpful. It feels like a big family!

Aww! I really, truly appreciate you, and everyone else taking time to write messages and guide me on my way of this newfound fandom, haha! :)
Reading the novel next sounds like a good idea. Then rewatch the drama, then the special edition. (I'll have to consider the manhua too!) I must've missed so many things on my first watch, also because I'm not a native english speaker - sometimes the subs didn't make sense to me, lol. Had to check the dictionary few times and replay some parts. Just to make sure, is "exiledrebelsscanlations" the right site to read the novel?
I'm still a sobbing mess after finishing the drama. Even though the ending was happy, I still cried and wailed like a crazy person. It's hard not to feel when you witness something so perfect. But now I'm just feeling sad and empty. I guess I'm having major withdrawal symptoms already. I also think I maybe shouldn't have marathoned the drama so fast. On the second watch I need to take it slower and give it time.
I think today I'm just gonna devour all the BTS videos, I need something ASAP to fill this huge gap in my heart. (╥﹏╥)

Haha, it seems there definitely is no way to move on. But I ain't mad! :D I'm still sobbing over here. I feel empty, but content and happy. It was such an intense ride, I felt as if I almost got sucked inside to the story myself, and watched everything happen from close and felt what the characters felt. I'm sure there are many things in the story that I missed or didn't fully grasp, so where should I begin if I want to truly understand the story on a deeper level? Should I watch the special edition first, or read the novel? Or rewatch the whole thing all over again right away. Although, I'm not sure if my poor heart is ready for the ride again, lol.
Yes, please share some links! I'd appreciate that! <3

I actually thought I had lost the fangirl in me because of watching so many dramas and.... getting older.
But seems like we both still got it ;--))
