fr, I dropped this and started watching again cuz I love Jo Jung suk's portrayal of the king

Putting aside the romance, this one has some good political plot twists.

More dramas centered about books please!

I just love how often the leads have heart-to-heart conversations. The ML is really well-written and the FL is someone I can resonate with in terms of her cautious attitude towards romance. This might be one of my favourite executions of friends-to-lovers!

Usually we see the opposition scheming against the king, but how intriguing that in this drama, it's the people who supported the king to the throne that are his enemies.

Now that you mentioned it, it really is her entry that made the story go downhill

To me, ep 14 was more bearable in comparison to ep 13. I'm sad that the third couple is not moving forward in any way, I wonder how they will make up for it in the next two episodes when things are already so intense for the main leads...
