I was thinking the same. But when he said he was back to see a friend, he meant JDT because he said "Mr. Baek" and that's JDT's real name. So, if he is the dead fiancé, why could he be helping JDT to take revenge on SSR?

We can still not be sure that Yoon Hee killed MSA, since her memories are distorted due to being drunk and her personality made her believe that she did it. And with regards to her betraying Soo Ryun, she did take revenge on Joo Dan Tae and even attempts suicide because of her guilt...

Just started watching this, since the most powerful characters are mostly antagonists, do good characters even get on their level for revenge? I don't want to watch the good characters to stay at the bottom while the antagonists stay unbothered...

I'm on ep 11, and it baffles me how Jo Hwa Jin would constantly remind herself in the initial episodes that she wouldn't trust anyone in the palace, and now she ruins such a big plan of the king out of mere jealousy... and goes on to trust the Queen Dowager (--_--)

I was brought to this drama by Bai Yu... but by the end, I'm such a big fan of both him and Zhu Yi Long! Throughout the series, these two actors were not Bai Yu and Zhu Yi Long but Yun Lan and Shen Wei/Ye Zun to me, their acting was so real. Definitely gonna check out new dramas from the cast!

I wish they'd kept the monk Lin and Yun Lan's talismans from the novel... I'm in episode 7 and Yun Lan does not seem to have much powers in the drama ://

We can only guess, but it could also Fuheng's step-brother's son. The emperor was made to be too drunk to do anything that night, so I think the latter sounds more reasonable.
