As you can see Jack O’ Frost does not have comedy tag in their show so their main focus is solely on the romance. The plot is being dragged out for the sake of comedic element in this show. I mean in Japan, 30% of married couple sleep separately in two different rooms due to different of work and sleep schedule and many reason. Asian people tend to take it slow in their relationship so 3 months of dating is still like a baby process to them so I kinda guess on Minato’s reaction eveytime Shin comes close to him. I mean the plot is there but there is not much progress happening during the first 4 eps so I guess we just have to be a little bit patient. It’s just that I am used to the Japanese comedic sense so this show has been great on me. I just want to explain how this show being portraited this way because it is a part of their culture. If you don’t like this show, that’s okay, I respect your opinion because people do have different taste in things

People hating on this show just don’t know how Japan works. This is one of the classic Japanese way of comedic show. From the overeacted facial expression to the ridiculousness of character’s personality is their work of art. Most comedic show is like this in Japan. Plus Japanese people hardly expressing their emotion toward love ones. They never say “i love you” 愛してる to family, friends, even husband and wife because to them that is a little embarrassing to say it. Instead they tell them by action, Shin prepared Minato’s bento and vise versa. You can see in the show that Shin never ask Minato to say “I love you” just “I like you” 好きだって is enough. This reflected real Japan society. And honestly, as an Asian myself, I think this is normal in Asian household, not just Japan. My family never say i love you to each other, we believe that actions speak louder than words. All of my Asian friends never say i love you or receive the i love you from their parents too. I personally think that is kinda embarassing to say it.

3 eps in a honestly I can’t stand the fact that Dong Joo keeps avoiding telling the truth that he stole Kang San’s novel. Please spoil me if he will tell the truth next ep otherwise it is frustrating to watch. Help!!

I couldn’t careless about the chemistry. I can feel the bromance better than the chemistry between those two. I have no problem with Seung Jo and Jisoo but Ho Woo and whatever her name is I just can’t. I skip most of their screen together even when they did important dialogues or not. You’re right, romance is not a main focus and I’m glad otherwise I would just ditch this drama long time ago. I found the romance is really awkward in those situation. It doesn’t contribute much to the story. She can just be a friend and help

WTH, the show is intense so why can’t they keep the romance out of the way? Honestly super ruin my mood, like, they were on the clock and still have time for the romance? Ho Woo works his butt off to get in the firm for the revenge so can’t they just make him wait until the revenge is over? BRUH this is action and thriller not slice of life so please…..

OMG so true. I found Phuwin and Dunk are very similar and hard to watch their part of acting. But Phuwin has indeed improved a little in NLMG but Dunk just stay the same from SIMM

Agree!!! Sorry to all the Dunk’s fans out there but even Star in My Mind did not spark any interested to me. Dunk acting is just aweful and even hard to watch with zero expectation. I was just watching SIMM to kill time but gosh I feel like torture myself forcing to watch his acting. And he doesn’t have any expression or emotion on whatever scenes. Even his laughing seems fake wth. Have you ever seen his smirk? I cringed so hard

Speaking from my personal experiences, as a bi woman, I love both BL and GL because both contents are mostly youth scenes that take me back to when I was young, like gigling when you like someone from the same class, you know, first love experiences. Also, I can’t stand straight drama because they are cheesy, some tends to have bad ending, and does not give me butterfly as much as BL and GL. There were like a tons of them with the same plots so that’s kinda repetitive and predictable. I mean BL and GL haven’t really developed until the last couple years so they are mostly amateur works but I enjoy most of them regardless. But I still watch normal straight drama with comedic sense or if I find both male lead and female lead are attractive.

Haha. Honestly I don’t really care about position in BL series. In fact I prefer them to be vers just like you said. Few other favorites ship I have are OhmNanon and FirstKhaotung. Both of them ship are very vers. But in this series Yechan is just reminded me the term power bottom so I just point it out LOL

OMG this is a first time I saw a post included the Vietnamese BL. I mean I didn’t even notice that we have BL industry in Vietnam and it’s honestly so good. It’s also a plus that I can watch it without the subtitles. Such a shame that MDL does not include the Vietnamese BL too. I mean they miss out big time
