do you mean yeondoo and hyunho? iirc yeondoo broke up with him because she got into an accident the day he had a big cooking competition and he blamed her for ruining his chances. he yelled at her a lot that day but he got drunk so he didn't remember it
The biggest takeaway from this drama for me are the lessons about forgiveness and the importance of moving forward. The story about the father and son ghosts who died after getting hit by a truck illustrate this. Manwol expected them to want to curse the man who did that to them, but instead they appeared in his dreams to forgive him. They were going to cross over to the afterlife, but before they left they had to make sure that the man did not have to live the rest of his life feeling guilty. Forgiving people means a lot, and it allows them to move forward with their life. The evil ghosts represented what happens when one allows their hatred to take over. They do what they have to do, but then they turn into a cloud of dust as if their lives never mattered. The stories about Manwol's past and her hatred towards Songhwa and Chungmyung best deliver the lesson about forgiveness. Sure, Songhwa did something horrible in the past, but Manwol came to understand that there should not have been any reason for her to hate Mira, who had no memory of her past life and was not responsible for anything that happened. If Manwol continued hold a grudge against Mira, Youngsoo would have only suffered, and Manwol would not have wanted to seen that happen to someone who was the reincarnation of her best friend. She knew she was the only one living in the past and she had to move forward, for her sake and for others. Manwol spent 1300 years hating Chungmyung, all because of a misunderstanding. At one point, she believed Chansung was Chungmyung's reincarnation and her hatred nearly consumed her that she imagined killing Chansung. She had to let go of her ill feelings or she would have lost those who mattered to her.
That was kind of long, but I appreciate anyone who took the time to read my thoughts :) I am going to really miss this drama and its lessons
