The movie was so bad compared to the drama. You don't see the love development between the two main characters. I felt that a lot of the scenes were out of order when compared to the drama. It started off with Bai Qian attending the Sea Palace party and then it goes into flashbacks of how they met. If you didn't watch the drama, I feel like you wouldn't understand the movie.
