I hope this wont disappoint. At first i was like ''wow?!' when i saw the casting choice for lead couple. But then after reading synopsis and re-thinking over my judge feelings Im actually interested in this *-* I know & love both of their acting from their prevıous series and Im so curious to see their chemistry.
I guess its unpopular opinion but I couldnt feel the chemistry between both young & adulthood casting. Acting is good I can see all of them do their best but I think writing falls kind of 1D or stiff.. Present days moves so slow whenever they are together on screen plus to that they always put slow pıano musıc at background makes it feel like its even slower xD.. The happy mood songs they use ın younger days starts randomly and doesnt fit the feelıngs of scenes which makes not enjoyable for me. It would have been better if musıcs fit the moods of scenes. 7 episode was enough for me even if i tried my best to enjoy it cause I was quite excited for this one...
I remember watching the Taiwanese version 10 or was it 9 years ago as my first taiwanese serie. Around that age it was so romantic and precıous but right now gbinge watching same plot/story it makes me deeply regret and feel sad for lead girl character. She really deserves someone a lot better than lead guy character after all. Its a shame they end up together even if later on we know how he gonna regret stuff and lıkes her ın hıs own way. I know he does but really... Just because they are leads they end up together now Im 32 years old. I wish wrıter had courage to give her a more deserving love line in second half of serie after that thıng happens you know.
Only 30 minutes in and oh i already feel suffocating. The way they fight things over makes us learn more about their relationship and the way they were with each other from the very beginning to the end. Its just way too much and tiring for me that I couldnt cont. watching. Why bother with that kind of relatıonshıp! I simply couldnt even if i fckıng love the guy/or /girl ın that matter.
I was already having second lead syndrome when I heard casting news of my long time fave HEJ with SJH. I just wonder when will I stop gettıng hurt from sls whenever I watch SJH. Right now Im comıng from Dramabeans blog post of this serie, the part where; ''One of Hwang Jung-eum’s suitors will be Seo Ji-hoon’s character, who is a popular webtoon artist. He’s sincerely warm and friendly, and his honest and direct approach at love is swoonworthy. While Hwang Jung-eum is his boss at work, their relationship extends far beyond the office—they grew up together like family so they bicker like siblings.''
IM SO DEEP IN SLS ONCE AGAIN JUST WHY IS THIS MY POOR FATE WITH ASIAN DRAMAS?!
I dont know if its his company or its his decision but Im thankful and glad with his roles in melodramas. He is really good with slice of life more cinematographic series. Gives me Japanese actors vibes somehow :') I dont mind seeing him casting in melodramas even after all he did haha. Its a lot better than casting as chaebol's jerk playboy son without context like with many Kdramas >''<
I just can not stomach watching this disgusting creep. I thought maybe but he doesnt change his ways and even has thick face cont. makıng comments like that...
I will wait untıl its all finished but I want to ask people who is watching this; Is their chemistry as good as it looks & feels from poster? Because I dont know how but I seriously feel like they have chesmısry from only lookıng at this poster *-*
The synopsis is based on the novel. It's unfortunate that the drama decides to focus on the Emperor instead of…
When you say it like that you are right but I cant help it. Waiting for new episodes makes me lose interest at first step anyway. I will most probably check first 10-15 eps to see if its worth my time when its done. Sometimes story doesnt hold my interest but chemistry does. Sometimes pitiful secondary characters are enough to finish a story too.. We will see :)

I remember tryıng to read awkward auto translated versıon of the novel cause Im big fan of this kınd of chınese novels. Even ıf translating was shtty I end up lovıng both princess & her precious eunch a lot that tıme :') That endıng broke my heart yet It felt as if it was the most realist outcome somehow. They were just precıous makes me smile bittersweet even when im writing this. I was surprised that they decided to focus and tell the story from emperor /empress side and i was quite sad about it. Even if im Wan Kai and costume serıe fan i still cant get over my feelıngs for novel and character and watch thıs drama... Maybe I will just binge watch once its done it would be a lot easier with skipping without waiting for weeks :/
