I think even Quentin Tarantino would enjoy this one. It's definitely got the feel of one of his movies along with the soundtrack. This is such a cool drama! But what happens with the young priest and those bad guys..had me in tears. Even the boyfriend told me, "It's just a TV show." It's a good one, though.
OMG! I love him in THE FIREY PRIEST & that scene when they were beating him up...my heart broke. So hope he gets lead roles soon. He really needs a drama. Such a worthy actor!
Tfw waiting for Jisoo to get a lead role forever ago, and when he does, I can't find myself rooting for his character…
I'm so there with you. Some of those expressions of his were like photo shopped or something. Yet we see just how immature the lead character is in this drama. (sigh)
I think the original had more feels. I loved the police station moment from the original. That moment when Tao takes off his shirt and she cries in it. We don't get the feels from the hairdresser girl who still believes her dad is alive. And no one can replace the original Hoon!
I dunno..I've had to go back and rewatch the original version while watching episodes of the Netflix version. Perhaps they have Americanized it a bit in the new version..but the fact remains Tao Oh is just a bit cruel to the girl he loves. I wouldn't have waited around for him either. He's rich, doesn't have a job so he really doesn't care that much for the real world..so he did need some alone time to figure himself out before he could really be there for somebody.
I plan on watching Mr. Swimmer after I finish the legends. Great to see another Yang Yang and Jerry yan fangirl.…
Yang Yang does have the moves. No doubt about that. I just finished Whirlwind Girl and I loved him in that. Although, I do like seeing the fun side of him, too.
I could never get into Bride of the Watergod. The writing just wasn't there and not even he could save it. I have been peeved with some of the characters he's gotten as of late and find myself saying to the screen, "That's not right!"
I've been a fan since Tamra, too. I do feel he is getting type-cast. I feel sure though, he's an actor first and always makes his characters memorable. I don't think he would want us to think of him as perfect. Perhaps that's why he's such a beautiful person.
Just saying..if they ever did a Chinese version I would want Yang Yang in the lead role. Yang Yang and Im Joo Hwan do have a few of the same qualities. Still, they are quite original too. One of my all-time favorite dramas, which took quite awhile to get through. But I'm glad I did.
Have you watched Mr. Swimmer yet? I'm fangirling Jerry Yan (who has a Lee Minho smile) I also swoon for Mike D Angelo, as well. And yes, I am a Yang Yang fangirl!
Because this is my first Life has to be my favorite of K-dramas. Great cast. Unique modern story. I liked the soundtrack too. Just Between Lovers I had to drop. It was making me too sad.
I also like the Chinese version of She was pretty, too! Both versions are good, but I felt I understood the Chinese version better. I just finished Whirlwind Girl. I really loved that story. Although, I wasn't that happy with the ending.
