I'm finding Guo Fiction is the only one worthy to watch in this drama. I love his character and that wild hairstyle. By far the worst drama ever for Wook and did Sean have some work done? He just looks younger and ever so fetching. God, it just gets seething sometimes while watching this, thinking I need to write some fan fic and turn this around!

Not a big fan of Bea, I'm simply here for FSF. Her acting is just okay. Sometimes a little over the top which…
The scenery was good. I have to say I was impressed with the guy who didn't get his first love. He was really a good villain.

This drama had it's moments. Still, I found myself laughing when I probably shouldn't. I'm still not sure why he loved her. She was kind of rotten, but I guess it was true as time wore on. Although, I liked some of Sunny Wang's lines best, Like..every loved story starts with a cliche...but near the end I like what Julan said to her about happiness. I'm not sure I can get into the second one. I'm hooked on Mr. Swimmer at the moment.

That happened to me too. The storyline in the beginning was definitely stronger.
I found myself rooting for a lot of the supporting cast, but was a little disappointed with them too. A lot of the latest When We Were Young has a lot of the same dynamics. I'm glad you wrote an article about this drama. All the best to your writing!

I tottaaaly agree omg....the original was a heartwarming one...this one just feels likea regular modern drama…
I have been watching the original again. After watching an episode of this series. The role of Joon in the original actually changed what kind of dramas Lee Yi-Kyung would be in. He could do comedy and he's had such a wonderful success with Welcome to Waikiki. I know many aren't a fan of Cho Hye-Jung, but she always has such a natural demeanor about her. I guess that is why I like them together, and I thought these two were important to the original shows success.

Also, the bob haired dude is so good looking without the wig! Lmao.
But I like this haircut on him! & I think he's good-looking too!

I think even Quentin Tarantino would enjoy this one. It's definitely got the feel of one of his movies along with the soundtrack. This is such a cool drama! But what happens with the young priest and those bad guys..had me in tears. Even the boyfriend told me, "It's just a TV show." It's a good one, though.

OMG! I love him in THE FIREY PRIEST & that scene when they were beating him up...my heart broke. So hope he gets lead roles soon. He really needs a drama. Such a worthy actor!

Tfw waiting for Jisoo to get a lead role forever ago, and when he does, I can't find myself rooting for his character…
I'm so there with you. Some of those expressions of his were like photo shopped or something. Yet we see just how immature the lead character is in this drama. (sigh)

I think the original had more feels. I loved the police station moment from the original. That moment when Tao takes off his shirt and she cries in it. We don't get the feels from the hairdresser girl who still believes her dad is alive. And no one can replace the original Hoon!

Maybe fan fiction is in order..cause I don't think we will get any solution from the new Netflix show.

The female lead is too poor and indecisive. Main male lead is too kind. I liked the supporting male leads a lot…
To me it was as if they were from two different worlds and lacked real communication skills, but isn't that in any K-Drama?

I dunno..I've had to go back and rewatch the original version while watching episodes of the Netflix version. Perhaps they have Americanized it a bit in the new version..but the fact remains Tao Oh is just a bit cruel to the girl he loves. I wouldn't have waited around for him either. He's rich, doesn't have a job so he really doesn't care that much for the real world..so he did need some alone time to figure himself out before he could really be there for somebody.
