This drama has me on a LEASH i swear to god its so sweet i love every single one of the characters! the actors are doing a very good job of portraying them, and truthfully i didnt even read the manga yet but just from the 3 episodes we have so far i am for sure going to!!!

i too think its absurd that phob did not properly explain yet or tell more about his absence besides saying he has known for a while he has cancer, but from nuts personality i can only presume he doesnt push more for answers because he doesnt want to pry and bring up possibly bad things. Also while writing i remembered that maybe nut doesnt ask because the last time he confronted phob about something that hurt him (phob not showing up for the exam after promising he would) phob simply went on and hurt him even more without actually explaining himself... so that could be a possibility, but i sure hope too in the next episodes they will have a deeper talk about all that stuff.
(and oh my god the woman talking about how its common to disappear without a trace what lmao i hope shes wrong abt how often that occurs because how messed up is that)
Contrary to what everyone else is saying i dont think sohee is getting out easy of this one, and i do think it was kinda realistic, she as a teen did some shit without thinking and she feels bad when it comes biting her back. Daon and Taekyung did not forgive her, and they did stress out that right now they did not feel okay, but maybe later they would. Believe me: i hated sohee with every fiber of my being, and if i were affected by her i would not look at her face ever again, but i am petty and also not a blueprint for usual behaviours. She was friends with them for years and its not easy to just cut someone off cleanly like that, i find it very realistic that from the very next morning since she sent the picture you could see in her face she realized she fucked up and later after daon confronting her she really starts regreting it and sees what she did wrong. Something that confirms to us her regret is seeing her talk to taekyung, saying how daon doesnt even belong to her and realizing that her love was actually just obsession because in her words: "who does this to the person they like".
I really like this outcome for sohee where we can see how she does regret what she did, apologizes to everyone involved and does not beg for forgiveness, stressing how they can hate her if they do; its a very realistic outcome irl and this became a great arc for her.
This drama just gets better and better!!! Its torture at this point to wait a few days for new episodes, i want them now!! Taekyung is growing more aware of shinwoo these past episodes and although sw gives me serious second lead vibes with things he says sometimes i firmly believe we will get a taekyung/shinwoo ending... The best ending for me would be the both of them starting a relationship while daon learns how to be himself happily without caring about others. Please writer, he needs to be happy not a boyfriend!
Also just as i said on a comment last week im so happy shinwoo has gone through whats happening to taekyung, so now he can support him with full force since he propely understands what hes feeling and his little tsundere act is done (ahh his dashing little smile *shades eyes from the light*)
I wanna also praise the soundtrack, because BOY, IT IS GOOD! at the beginning of the drama i wasnt focusing on it so much and while spark by ace has me on a leash, there wasnt anything else that really sparked my attention hehe but oh man this 12th episode had my jaw dropped; EVERY SINGLE TIME i stopped to pay attention to the backgroud track if perfectly fit and flowed with the scene seamlessly, i love it!
Namgung must be the most hurt character in this episode hearing sohee say absolutely horrible things about his friend, just when he sarted to see her in a different light she opens her mouth and we're back to square one. She needs a little reality check, and i hope it is coming soon from the preview with namgung calling her im sure he knows it was her that posted the picture.
Also from now we're really starting to see were daon's and shinwoo's affection diverge: daon is confused and overall just not ready yet, he needs to work on himself not a relationship and im glad the writer did not go on a route of daon/taekyung dating for a while because it would just end up being insanely more hurtful for the both of them. Is it hurting them now? yes it is but in the end it will help both of them grow up as individuals: taekyung needs to stop directing all of his attention onto a sole thing while daon needs to learn how to live without craving for other peoples approval.
Im just happy they made that relation on how shinwoo's whole thing was started from him gifting someone a bracelet just like taekyung did, because now we know that at this point shinwoo has gotten over his tsundere act, accepted that part of himself and is ready to assist taekyung in getting over his future rejection just by staying by his side like he has said several times before. For sure this gonna be shinwoo/taekyung endgame now.
is it okay if i watch this (when it starts to air) without watching tharntype s2?
i think its okay as long as you get a summary of what happened and why, although it wont have the same feel and impact as watching it i think you should be okay... Also you could just watch it kinda superficially too if you dont want to watch the whole thing, just go skipping non relevant and extra scenes! i feel like it matters if you wanna see in action how fiat was before leo, but theyre gonna explore that topic from the future looking back anyways so idk
I've never posted a comment but after this episode i just felt like i had to.
Teh does not feel like the same character from itsay, i get that the whole thing this season is that people and feelings change etc and they try to portray realistic situations, but i dont think whats happening in this season corresponds to how the characters would behave going by their responses to things in itsay.
The thing that bothers me the most is how i thought "okay since the first season is moved by teh and his feelings, maybe the second season will be focused more on oh and his little fuck-ups trying to deal with himself and the changes" and i really thought that was going to happen after the side story was focused so much on how oh-aew was feeling about the changes that had already happened and would still happen in phuket.
But suddently, no, teh was actually the one feeling the most about changes and things becoming different and that frustrates me so much! he was completely okay with the idea of those things happening and was actually even comforting oh-aew because OH-AEW was the one feeling it the most! and that doesnt make any sense because it becomes the exact opposite when the actual season begins! Suddently oh-aews sadness disappears once he changes majors and ONCE AGAIN teh is the only one fucking up all the time to ruin things for them. I mean,, a cheating plot ????
I hate this because it paints teh like such a hateable person. He is a complex character and has been since the last season but it feels like now he is only there to hurt oh-aew and be the guy everyone hates because of how shitty he behaves. The whole thing wasnt that teh changed for the better at the end of itsay? then why the fuck after all that has he regressed once more to sucking so much?
Im not even sure about this season anymore because regardless of what happens the ending will probably not be something i will like; no matter if they end up together or apart.
