I realized that it makes more sense to watch the first 2-3 episodes of The Promise, before going back to watch the Phupha | Nanfah prequel. I had a clearer picture of the backstory after getting acquainted with Phu and Nan, and the reason why Phu left Nan.

What a great backstory! After watching the first 3 eps of The Promise and now watching the prequel, I totally get why Phu left Nan. My heart breaks for Phu while clueless Nan only realises it 10 years later. I dare say it's a good thing that Phu left. Cannot wait to continue The Promise!

Yes I have watched ep3. What Phu did was an ultimate sacrifice, and the way Nan went out of his way to secure the Coffee House Phu wanted. All this without telling each other. I’m not ready for the crying scene at the bridge shown in the intro 😢
