I also agree that her being his Professor is iffy, but as much as we all want to be on a “moral high ground”…
ah... also I wouldn't call his acting great. Actually he's receiving criticism for his acting right now. It's definitely not great compared to the FL actress. But I'm glad you're a supportive fan.

wow thank you for name calling me and assuming I watched Goblin and was okay with it (I didn't even start that drama for the exact reason you mentioned) :) Please don't reply to my comments in the future if you can't stop yourself from being rude. Have a nice day!

yeahh but you know what people would be commenting if it was a female FIRST YEAR student and a male professor... And yeah he could switch classes but it doesn't change much for me. I don't care about any power dynamics either. A woman old enough to be a uni professor and a ceo (which I assume is late 30s, the actress is also 37 so the fact that she "looks young" doesn't mean much) dating a first year boy is just disgusting to me. That's just how I feel. I think people should at least date their generation.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the age gap in this one, though I understand why you'd be uncomfortable,…
well that would make it better. I hope it is that way and that they will mention it somehow in the drama because rn I'm just feeling weird while watching it.
they both seem to be around 30 years old (him a bit under, her a bit over; so the difference seems is not even…
he's most likely 18/19 as are like 90% first years and it was never mentioned that he is repeating the year or whatever. But let's say he is and then what? It makes him 1 or 2 years older? Heck, even if he's 23~24 it's still creepy because she is obviously much older and his professor. I don't know why you're trying so hard to change the facts.
Don’t let the internet fool you. It’s still very taboo for an older woman to date a younger man in Korea.…
ah my comment was addressing the way international fans react and are always "uncomfortable" (cringe) when the male lead is slightly older but don't even notice the age difference when the woman is much older. I know how it is in Korea because I've lived there in the past. Anyway, I'm sorry but I just skimmed through your comment because it's too long and I'm tired.

"he is definitely not 19/20" what are you basing this on? The fact that the actor is older? Don't you know that adults often play teenage roles? First year students are 18/19. He is a first year law school student.

well you're a great example of someone with double standards. How is 4 years difference better than 10+ years difference? Just because the actress looks young and in your opinion they look around the same age, doesn't make it okay. I don't know if you didn't watch the show carefully but he is a first year student, which makes him 18~19 years old and she is someone who has enough experience to be appointed as a ceo, which means she must be over 30 (and I'm being considerate here because normally CEOs are much older, the actress herself is 37, which means the character could be in her late 30s too).

right. I'm glad you understand. I left this comment here mainly because we both know how angry everyone would be if the genders were switched. Even the "they're both adults" argument wouldn't mean much in that case. But I completely understand your point of view.
The storyline is Amaaaaazinggg but the part that gong chan younger vetsion and the present one doesn't make sense😂…
oh this is also my problem with this drama although my main problem is their age gap and the fact that she's technically his professor (I mean if their genders were switched, everyone would be "uncomfortable"). Anyway I've noticed that somehow what you mentioned is often the problem in kdramas or the complete opposite is the problem. For example in "Eve" they have one character who hasn't changed at all during 10~15 years. They show the fl in the flashbacks as a child (different actress) but the second male lead looks exactly the same in the same flashbacks as he looks in the "present" lol
omg SAME ! though i love the drama so far. i also don't want to comment about his appearance or anything but i…
oh I feel the same tho... I also think he looked a lot better in True Beauty for whatever reason. I don't know if it's the hairstyle or what. Please don't k me too
I love this but I just have 1 question. How much hate would this drama get if the professor was a man and the student was a woman? I'm sure everyone would be "uncomfortable". But when the woman is the professor and the older one everyone is okay and commenting how cute the drama is. Y'all were even "uncomfortable" with the relationship in 25 21 although the age gap was only 4 years. In Why Her? the age gap is AT LEAST 10 considering that the ml is a student and the fl is a professor who had enough experience in her career to even be chosen as the CEO. I just hate these double standards. That's all.
They focused more on romance between robot and human but if you think about the story it has lot of depth in it.…
honestly I dropped this after 8 episodes because at first the FL was some psycho liar who uses people for her own profit and then she suddenly started being all cute and cringey with the robot while for whatever reason everyone else, even the mother turned away from him because she suddenly remembered that her real son exists. At least that's what it looked like to me and everything together was way too weird unfortunately.
