It's more the fact that the FL was the one who re introduced herself into his life, then when he tells her his…
I understand that she's being toxic and I don't wish to minimize her actions or to claim that she's in the right HOWEVER I do feel like she's getting an unjustifiable amount of hate given her situation and I cannot see the reasoning for that. People are imperfect and make mistakes and the fact that some are writing her off entirely as a character a quarter of the way into the show is disheartening to me.
Wow. The misogyny in this comment section is LOUD. I don't care if it comes from a place of wanting the FL to be stronger etc....you're still tearing her down for having trauma, for feeling beaten, for feeling weak and that's not OK. Does she need to gain her voice and get out from under the people who abused her? Absolutely. But y'all are giving her absolutely no room to do so. People don't click their fingers and magically remove all their trauma. Also, where is this energy for the ML? Because he is not perfect. He has flaws too. Where is the criticism towards him? π€
I just read the novel cause Iβm too impatient hahaha. I absolutely called it with why the female lead is the…
I didn't see your comment when I was writing mine but yes, yes, yes I completely agree. I haven't read the novel but I can clearly see there's more going on and I'm glad that my intuition is right. Some people just want to criticize instead of paying attention to what's happening π€
I'm seeing so much hate towards Xu Qin and I'm sorry but I'm not here for it. I know that a lot of dramas like to lean into the "weak love sick female" trope and it can get a little grating but give her some time to grow and heal. You have to remember we're only 11eps in and she's experienced a lot of trauma throughout their relationship and beyond (through no fault of her own) and that's not going to fix itself 2 episodes in. We're here for the long haul folks, just let the story happen. Please.
OK, so I know there's a wide spectrum of opinions about this show but I'm still kinda interested. For those who are watching the uncut version, shall I just skip the original aired eps and go straight to the uncut? Not asking because of the NC scenes but there seems to be a lot of talk about the storyline being a bit more cohesive and I'd prefer that if it's true? Thanks β€οΈ
To those who are waiting, I'm pretty sure we found out last week that the MDL timer was wrong....it was uploaded an hour(ish) after the timer here ends I believe, so only 20mins left now π€
I was putting off watching the first few episodes so I could get some of the angst out of the way but based off of what I'm reading I think I'm going to completely dip out until the season is over and then if it doesn't negatively impact the original story, I'll binge watch it. I have no problem with realistic storytelling but S1 holds such a massive place in my heart and if it gets completely decimated in S2 just for dramatic effect.....I don't need to see it. It's tough because I desperately want to support these actors and this show but I also want to protect my own love of S1, ya know? πΏ
Damn i thought about being a photographer LOL I guess that my brain is way more pure than what i thought.
I *think* photographer is where they were going but the way it was staged made it come across as something very shady π (that being said, I haven't actually read the manhwa so who knows...)

And yes, they making an absolutely stunning pair, I'm so excited to see how things play out π
Give me all the angst π

I'm optimistic but scared, lol, please tell me I'm not the only one π
