never in my life i thought i would say gmmtv is putting out the BEST bl series this year. a tale of thousand stars, fish upon the sky, and now bad buddy. every other bl i’ve watched this year lacked something, i’m not sure what.
I’ve been waiting for this series forever. I like both Nanon and Ohm. Because GMMTV had been the main source…
right i said the same exact thing like i’ve told myself numerous of times i’ve outgrown gmmtv bl series, but all of those months with no new bl’s made me miss this channel so much.
so i just read a review where it said type assaulted fiat..? are you serious? no because he literally exposed lhong because he felt what he did was wrong but then you kidnap a child and threaten to break his leg???
so people are having mixed feelings about this drama as well and idk if i should risk watching this one or not. maybe it’s time for the writers to STOP with this universe.
Is there anything special that isn't in 1st season? Will I lose something if I don't watch?
yes it basically explains how they got to where they are. season 1 comes before the movie and then the movie is a continuation. if you really want to skip the series and go straight into the movie then i’d say go ahead but you would be just a bit confused.
finally finished this after 5 long days, oh where do i even begin with describing this series…
THARN - first and foremost never ever EVER seduce or take advantage of a drunk person like you cannot ever reason or excuse that. tharn said it was to get back at type hating him for being gay but like… no? just hide his fucking backpack or something not take advantage of him when he’s not even in his right state of mind… that right there made me very angry and i was already hating the drama and was ready to stop
now let’s get into TYPE’S angry frustrated ass… i lost track of how many times he punched tharn like you cannot be serious… tharn is also a dumbass for letting him punch him as many times as he did. YES i get what happened to him could probably affect him for the rest of his life but it does not excuse you to be an arrogant asshole the entire series. i really don’t know what tharn saw in him. i would’ve left his ass the day he said he hates gay people.
onto Lhong… i really hate how they made him the main enemy of the show when he was my absolute favorite character…? like woah didn’t see that coming at all? idk i really don’t have much to say in this situation since i cant excuse his actions and i’m just gonna erase his character from my mind on this show since he played a better role in nitman, and i believe he’s main role in an upcoming one.
tar/tum - tum annoyed the hell out of me idk why but i don’t like him sorry. and the one sided love for his brother… is that his brother? like are they actually related half related or step brothers? i pray they’re step brothers otherwise tum is weird as hell. tar, i hope he finds love again since tharn was unfortunately taken away from by you know who…
techno - oh i love his character and i’m mad that they didn’t pair him up with someone. this entire series they just had us watch him take in all of type’s anger issues. i think him and champ were kind of flirting towards the end of episode 12? like i don’t think i was mistaken. i hope when i watch the special episode that maybe something will be there.
thorn - they should’ve just made him the younger brother since he does NOT look younger than tharn. that’s all i have to say for him.
anyways i think i’ve rambled enough. let’s just wrap this up with saying if they didn’t add all the unnecessary sexual harassment and mental illnesses then i guess it would’ve been better? i’m not saying i didn’t enjoy this series but also, that’s exactly what i’m saying. i guess the good thing i can take from this is that at least tharntype had the best chemistry i’ve seen out of most bl’s. i’ve seen people compare them to maxtull though and no, they will never be them sorry.
do i recommend watching… i mean if you can stick through the first few episodes and don’t mind the episode 11 bl curse then yeah. would i ever watch again? NO!
all i can say is whoever came up with the thumbnail for this series has the mind of a mastermind because who would’ve thought as the episodes progressed, all of them looking at tharn (minus tum and techno) would have a meaning to it.
what the hell i did not know this drama would mess with my head like this… it’s just too much going on, like just a whole bunch of mental illnesses and obsession?? 😭 Lhong played in another bl called Nitiman and i loved his character so much on that drama and it made me finally give tharntype a chance since i knew i’d get to see him and oh how i regret it so bad. why did they make his entire character do a 180? i cant fully hate him for some reason even though i know all the stuff he did was purely evil and he should probably be in a mental asylum or even jail but i think at the end when he started crying he knew all that stuff he did was wrong. i’m just surprised he broke tharn & type up without doing something so sick and twisted, like why did he have to get tar raped and threaten him???
i mean yeah i guess you could say that. i enjoyed it but at some parts you could really get annoyed or bored. the ending somewhat saved the drama i guess.
side note: i kinda had a feeling since season 1 that khom liked type and that’s why he finally came out to him.
