So… I managed to watch a couple of eps and it really isn’t grabbing me. I’m really trying guys but it really isn’t lol 😂 The casts are fine, the plot is ok and even the OST is great but I’m just not feeling this one like I used to with The Trust or even the donghua/manghua.
The plot thus far is a shortcut (expected of a short drama ik) from The Trust and it’s even a bit more lesser to the donghua in my opinion (only).
I might have to try again at a later date but I am interested in the OST. It’s not as powwow like the NINEONE - Fall In OST of The Trust but I was surprised they ‘remade’ a popular Vietnamese song called Reflection/Tu Tam I know long ago linked below for those interested.
If anyone can search the OST for this, drop the link somewhere because I honestly couldn’t find it.
We’re reaching the finale today, and there’s a bunch of manholes being blown (4 btw), is the 💩 real I wonder? 😂
After the finale: I was actually a little, a TINY bit disappointed they didn’t stay in SanJiangKou lol. It’s just him, his loneliness, and Li Qian again. 😂
IIs this like the Korean show? I forget the name...
Mr Queen? Yes and no. Mr Queen was both souls in one body. Not swapped with ml but with a 21st century chef. This one is set in historical times with both ml and fl soul swapping. Similar to How To Train Your Killer out this year.
I accidentally found this rednote, apparently there’s a 6 minute side story only available on Douyin they filmed after the success of Debauchery and I tried to find it but couldn’t. There’s only the BTS showing them happy with a child after the abruptish finale.
Netizens say Debauchery is based on a book of the same name. I did check it out but it has different character names and others have read saying it’s definitely somewhat of the same plot line over 1100 chaps long.
I heard China blocked this, but then the project was sold to Japan, and they finished airing it... so is this…
yes, it’s still censored. YOUKU had the first 8 still up & editing was that way so there was no way it can go uncensored 😂 it’s bromance but the bts had most of the implied bl
How did this start airing in 2023 and only end in 2025?
it aired just fine in 2023 but got removed after only 8 eps, there was no real reason provided except speculations like the mass ban of bl related content back then and/or something to do with the plot. it was left hanging until last year when they sold it to japan and released it internationally.
are the eng subs great? it should be noted for everyone else, some titles such as this one don’t air on the…
lol, it’s alright. I mentioned it in passing forgetting it’s a little repetitive as I’m actually being patient and choosing to wait for it to drop on WeTV with better subs. I was in fact very tempted to go buy the subscription since it’s cheaper ($4) vs the official vip fee ($10) over here! 😂 I think I might if it doesn’t air out by next month.
it should be noted for everyone else, some titles such as this one don’t air on the international WeTV page on the same schedule as the official Tencent one. this is normal but unfortunately, means they could drop it a couple days later, a week or worse case, after they air out all eps first which is annoying.
I want to give an honourable mention to the mini scale building hidden safe Taebaek has. That thing was awesome and fun to look at for more than 2 takes. 😂

just the 1st ep:
“Do you even have friends left in CID?”
“Yes, loneliness”
“You CANNOT go on like this, it’ll ruin you!”
The OST and ending credits were a real treat too. makes me wanna read the book lol
