That's why they arranged the meeting.. so mom could have planned kidnapping to force ML's hand into giving into demands where she would have used him for the election
anyway let's see... who knows if the real son wants revenge on his parents too and wants the election to go wrong

Real kidnapper is the mastermind directing the kidnapper we saw.
He has to be the real son of the presidential candidate. Remember the flashback from 2ML about unsolved arson case as a child.. where the boy in mask did something
I would say, we saw 2 kids - 1 with mask and another without..
Mask = 2ML = kidnapper without mask = random or maybe ML
I reaaly cannot stand the 2nd ML chasing after the FML it's just too cringe.

i am guessing, when FL was busy with her corporate career and at some point decided to leave that.. was at her lowest.. but at the same time helped 2ML swimmer.. who was probably going through some tough time as well..
She doesn't remember him but he obviously tracked her down to the school and has been idolising her since then..
