In 3rd tribulation, we saw him prioritizing FL.. be with the man she loves.. but SML"s priority was that she doesn't sacrifice herself.. and he finally told ML about the primordial spirit.. he was not scheming in 3rd tribulation but had one clear motive. Even in this one, you can see he always has the right intention towards her and the respect and love origins from how she treats him...
in any case, he will never prioritize himself or his feelings.. for him FL is most important...his unwavering belief in her unlike anyone even though she "apparently" killed his entire clan..
