talking doll at bare minimum... and JL turned into human because/after/almost around the time softtoy was stabbed..but who held the softtoy to save JL from being stabbed
i will wait and watch. there is a reason she has that soft toy around her before time traveling
lol.. so the old lonely demon JL said he was not born then and WYi was not born then hence they cannot change anything in the Past.
BUT, WYi has the doll around her.. so when she time travels the doll is still with her...
WHICH means... the doll CAN CHANGE things because doll was present in that timeline too

Your theory doesn't stand bcoz after some time she stopped wu wangyan's death every time. She made so many changes…
What i am saying is what drama has said - verbatim
THE ONE SHE IS TRYING TO SAVE IS JL
her focus has been to change situations that don't lead to his death. Situation where JL doesn't need to sacrifice. One of the part is where WSG got posessed .. and that should not happen because leaves JL with no option but to sacrifice.
Then she thought answer is to stop WSG being posessed hence WYan should not die. But that didn't work. Then she realized, sacrifice has to happen and its the ring... so now she was trying to snatch and work off the ring and kill herself instead.. but that didn't work
I don't know what is complicated here. In none of this, was she thinking how should people be saved, what this means if JY survives, nowhere is she thinking how to save WYan.. her thought process is hwo to not kill Wyan to avoid triggering WSG (there is a huge difference in both thought processess)
anyhow.. i am basing my views on how i am seeing the drama..
as of now i have not found a compelling argument that counters any of it... so you r free to believe what u do... i will stick to my observations until someone really shows me a scenario where an alternate explanation exists
couple of days back i raised the question of who is WYi - sum of all parts or more than that
Following is what drama has shown to us
1. EP23 - her prioritizing JL over anything, anyone. If you pay attention, her actions and emotions + motivations driving her actions mirror XW. She infact repeats the same words. And, it really is a same situation where she is willing to sacrifice anyone and everyone to save JL, her love ---> out an out XW's conduct
JY did take XW's parts/memories and gave it to WYi
2. EP23 - every single character has sacrificed years - their lives, their happiness... they have suffered and suffered too much with one shared goal of bringing peace to the world and a common good. But what does WYi does? - she is willing to ruin each of their's sacrifices as long as she gets what she wants! ... it is not out of goodness of her heart that she is sacrificing herself - she has tried all methods and willing to do whatever it takes to save JL...
Atleast, i don't see any instance where she is actually proactively thinking about saving people from the drought, or actively thinking about what about sacrifices others have made.. ETC
To me that mirrors a very interesting combination of a) moon clan b) and JY .. and i am still debating if there is a 3rd angle to it which could qualify as "person of her own"
3. All initial episodes - the way she talks, behaves.. mirrors WYan a lot. The seductiveness, the slow pace... and it seems it is a trait of moon clan
The character setup is really interesting and one wonders if it even matters having a fake personality as long as you look human

i am not really reading beyond your 1st statements because they themselves have been WRONG
we were at ep 22.. you are the one who is bringing information from future episodes and expecting everyone to work off your tangent..
