But ep 1 is GREAT. Book is good. This serious tone suits them. And i wish Book does more of this.. and no more of those chirpy bubbly roles .. this suits better

Ep 12 - Junseo

The problem is so layered with Junseo and BAJ

Junseo inherently doesn't believe that BAJ is a good person. He thinks she is capable of all wrongdoings when angry or provoked.

BAJ totally knows that and hence never gives him a direct answer unlike Jaeho. Mostly, Jaeho genuinely paid attention to understanding who BAJ is.

When grandma died, Jaeho knew instinctively BAJ didn't do it. Junseo was CONVINCED she did. BAJ never corrected Junseo and Junseo found the truth later, yet he blames her


With Jaeho's death, the same thing happened. He blamed her instinctively and she pretended like it was nothing AND as usual HE BOUGHT THE STORY

BAJ , atleast child or teenage BAJ definitely crushed on Junseo at some point in her life. he is definitely her 1st love. But, she saw herself in Jaeho since school days with shared abused past. Over time, he also became someone she could open up to becuase he believed in her, did not judge her, let her be who she is, and most importantly... TRULY BELIEVED that she never did wrong unless provoked.. that she was not an inherently evil person who enjoyed all this negative stuff

Junseo is also right about.. what could he do to save BAJ from her husband. He would stage something bigger and get her in soup... but from his perspective, BAJ will never let go of things.. never content with a simple life... and with no one by her side.. how will she really survive?

I am not sure if her story is over. But in general, there have been cases where a pre-produced drama was re-edited or even change the ending to create space for s2 once the series is popular

problem is that they will turn Dear X S2 into a revenge story , making her like any other normal protagnist..

the whole point and charm of her character is lost

this will either be one of those Kdrama where Male Lead comes back for revenge after being wrongfully dealt with

this will become a kill bill sorta thing

i think series got so popular that makers want to rake in money in s2.. so keeping options open

i am yet to watch last 2 episodes.. but if either ML or both ACTUALLY died then what a useless show..

ending is webtoon was PERFECT

they will probably find ways to bring back Junseo from dead.. but i don't know why jaeoh had to die.. he should also come alive somehow

so movie was weak in giving background of villain

but drama is super weak in all the post prison break arc.... Movie did REALLY WELL with that.. it was more engaging, better plot, not linear like in drama

Zhen bird gives the only poision which does not show any of the symptoms of poision. This was used to kill the queen for which FL was framed.

ML did the whole beauty routine thing in Ep1 to meet different doctors who could tell him about the poision... and everyone said the same thing that only in story books and fantasies such a poision is mentioned and it comes from this bird from Qin
